We needed a place to stay one night in New Orleans, and had searched a few hotels without luck. The Super6 next door seemed very low-quality, so we took this.

We found that this hotel was better, but only by a slim margin. The entrance hallway with marble certainly more impressive. But when the receptionist is spending most of the time with an iPhone (texting ?), we're off to a bad start.

Luggage cart with flat wheels.. Elevator that is in dire need of both a broom and a wet mop (also next day). A yellow-ist fluid in the staircase landing (only removed after we pointed it out).

The room with dark, worn-out appearance, and an airconditioner we felt only made a LOT of noise but produced little cold air. We turned it off just to get some sleep.

Wifi worked, but _incredibly_ slow. Is all this hotel sharing a dial-up modem ?

There was a pool, decent size, but only some of us ventured in. It was not circulating and so dirty we could hardly see bottom at 3 feet.. That is not a good sign. There were several bugs (yes also roaches) in water and around.

Breakfast just about the worst we have experienced so far. How can a hotel run out of jam in the high season ? No guests expected ? Breakfast staff did not seem to care a bit.
The "juice" with a terrible taste of concentrate. Waffles with a bad taste and impossible to make crispy. Other than that the usual sad dry bagels, bread and 2 different cereals, like all discount hotels.

All in all, this is a place to sleep. The only good thing: all in all, with breakfast and the free wifi, this hotel is marginally better than it's neighbor. But truly it's a dump and there are better alternatives. With friendly staff, better service and at least a semi-clean pool.

the room was less than standard and the staff was pretty rude. lots of young women whom need a crash course in manners with the execption of a ms tracy the night person who was friendly and helpful and the gentleman working in the lobby everyone else i encountered over my weekend stay was very short and boader line rude.asked for a blanket i was told they didn't have one. asked again when i returned to my room after 1am the lady got it for me right away.i think the previous young lady did not have time therefore just cutt me off...won't visit again until there are a different quality of ppl working there.
