I stayed at Hotel St. Marie four 4 nights and used valet parking service provided for additional charges. I had to depart hurriedly a day early due to a family emergency. Upon arriving back home, my wife pointed out damage that had been done to the rear bumper of my truck and asked what had happened. The truck had obviously been damaged by the hotel valet in the very tight confines of their parking garage. I was not informed that an incident had occurred by hotel or valet staff prior to my departure and had no recourse for filing a claim since I had departed the premises before the damage was discovered.
I contacted management the next day by email since no direct phone number is provided (for apparently obvious reasons to avoid disgruntled customers like myself) and forwarded them pictures of the damage. I inquired as to why their staff failed to notify me when the incident had occurred, but hotel management did not give me the benefit of any reply. I find this extremely distasteful, bordering on dishonesty, on their part.
The room was large and clean otherwise, and the location is great. Just be sure to take out some insurance if you let them park your car.More
