The last time I was here, there was no bar or restaurant. The bar is very nice and there is a nice dining room area. There is also a small shop where you can purchase small items and snacks. I ate at the bar and the food was very good. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. I was put into Rm 315 that is a corner room with a king bed. The bed was very comfortable and the room would be a perfect size for two. The only problem is the rugs in the hallway. They are very stained and need to be replaced, but the rug in the room was nice. Housekeeping was quiet when cleaning the rooms. There was no shouting or banging around. One morning I found that I had slept until 10! Checking in and out was fast. This has become my favorite place to stay when in NO.

We have a beautiful room...nice and big,but it smells musty.... However once you get used to the smell, it is a charming place to stay! Have an excellent receptionist(Jenn) and a handsome young man that are most helpfull with info of tours and location of shops! Inner court seem to be the meet-and-greet place and we had afternoon Cocktails with our feet in the pool...lovely and refreshing! Very charming place....will come back here...

We found Hotel St. Marie to be perfect for our short stay in New Orleans. Just steps from Bourbon Street this hotel was perfect for our stay.It is hard to believe we were so close to all the noise of Bourbon Street. The hotel and grounds were so quiet. Their are many rooms with different furnishings and flavors so you may want to look at a room before you decide which one is for you. Our room was decorated in the era of the hotel's earlier days which is just what we were looking for. The room was clean and had plenty of room for the 3 of us.The garden pool was lovely and the common areas were well kept. The staff made you feel welcome and helped with any questions we had. The price was very reasonable. The only drawback was the valet paking was 32.00 an night which we felt high. We will stay here again on our next visit!!

Room Tip: Ask to look at a room to decide which one is for you.

A great hotel right off of Bourbon Street. Very quiet, convenient and comfortable. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The bar in the hotel is perfect for a night I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to NOLA.cap or an early am Bloody Mary. It's so quiet inside that you would never know you were 30 yards from Bourbon Street.

One of the things I enjoy about traveling is finding a "go to" hotel/place for return trips. Having been to some other hotels in New Orleans, none of which I would return to, it was really satisfying finding this quiet gem one block off Bourbon St. It's not large, but is big on comfort, welcoming, friendliness, and a cozy feeling. The interior courtyard and pool are clean and inviting to the guests and conversation with other vacationers. A big surprise was the excellent quality and service at the Vacherie Restaurant. It is first class and the food rivals any other place in town. Sadly, it seemed underused by the other guests of the hotel. I was sold on it with the first meal and had to partake a second time. The separate small snack bar had great food and pastries and coffee, and staff smiles were free. After the busyness outside and around the town, it was so nice to come back here to relax and feel that all is right.

Room Tip: While the balcony outside the room in the front of the hotel on Toulouse St. is great to hang out on...

Great location, comfortable, and beautiful view off the balcony. But my favorite part was the efficient, kind, and colorful characters that worked the joint. They reminded me of my colorful Southern family (when they're doing everything for me). New Orleans is a great place to have a new adventure every day, and the Hotel St. Marie is a great place to rest and regroup when it's done (even if it's not done 'til 5am).

Room Tip: Inside balcony

Our "vacation" started at the Hotel D'Armes located in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Hurricane Isaac changed our plans a bit. After not being able to find an early flight out we decided to weather the storm. The staff asked us to move to Hotel St. Marie as they owned that one as well. We found every employee of both Hotels to be very friendly and helpful. The staff went above and beyond to keep us calm and comfortable. The hotel overall is very clean and quiet even though it is very close to all of the action. I would recomend either hotel to those wanting to experience the atmosphere around French Quarter.
