“Great Place To Stay”
Reviewed December 11, 2004

Very nice hotel. The room was large and nicely decorated. The staff was pleasent and very helpful. The location is great, near everything in the French Quarter.
We ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant, food was great, but the service was a little bit slow, but we were on vacation so why rush.
The rate I got this hotel for was almost to good to be true. But our stay would have been worth 4 times the price.
I fully recomend this hotel

I visited New Orleans for the Halloween weekend. I did not have reservations, but was able to get a nice, clean room for $79.00. The Conti Hotel is a 1/2 block from Bourbon St. The ladies at the front desk were very nice and helpful. I would use the PCH again.

Just got back and had a nice stay at the Prince Conti. Only thing I didn't understand was that there was mold in various spots of the room (ceiling, shower, etc). Other than that the location was absolutely perfect and the room was a decent size.

Nice hotel, especially on the 3rd floor, Rue Conti side, with a whole row of windows and a good view over the tops of buildings. Lower floors have no view other than the street. Pretty quiet, considering the location, but a very pleasant and safe spot on Rue Conti. The rooms are better than average motel, though the hallways are a bit dim and smelly. Room doors are thin and no lock other than on the knob. Good towels, water pressure and clean bathroom. Comfortable bed. The staff at the desk were very nice and moved us to the 3rd floor when requested. The price was super ($102 including tax) gotten on Travelocity. Try the restaurant Latrobe's just south down the street past Bourbon, especially on a rainy afternoon. The building is very historic and beautiful. Ask for a tour. Also, an all-night restaurant across the street from the Prince Conti, and Broussard's for old-line New Orleans fair directly across the street. Prince Conti good choice for the price (got a $49 room last August on Travelocity), but a significant come down from the Royal Orleans where I had been the previous 5 nights! But the Royal was also $235/night convention price! If you're on your own money, the Prince Conti is an excellent, safe and clean choice.

If I had to stay in New Orleans again, I'd stay here for the price, the location and the fact that it is very well kept. Can't hear anything from Bourbon street, but did hear the neighbors when they stayed up late partying in their rooms. Not a huge deal. Great, comfortable beds, very nice bathroom, good water pressure, huge towels. Surprisingly luxurious. Except for the no coffee...

There is absolutely no coffee in the rooms or in the lobby. We got around that by going out to the convenience store next-door every morning, which opened at 7:30 (a time at which the only people you'll run into in New Orleans are the street cleaners, washing away the stale alcohol from the streets.)

The service was fantastic, the front desk clerks were nice and helpful and guided us to some great restaurants (they suggested Olivier's which had yummy, authentic creole food and the best pecan pie I have had to date). Because I was one of the first to arrive for the week, the woman at the front desk gave us one of the best rooms in the hotel, and it was gorgeous and huge!

Only 1/2 block from Bourbon Street - but our room was very quiet. Great location. Charming hotel. Would definitely stay there again.

On a recent trip to New Orleans, unfortunately timed with Hurricane Ivans arrival, the staff of the Prince Conti Hotel in the French Quarter did all that they could possibly do to ensure our safety and to reassure us. They, (the staff) were constantly informing us of precautions and processes in place at the Conti. Generators for electricity, staff staying on site, etc.
In particular the Front Desk Staff were outstanding in theri ability to accommodate and provide top service to many frightened and panic tourists attempting to leave New Orleans. Thanks Prince Conti for your friendly and efficient care.
