We have just had a fabulous weekend at this hotel. Excellent location, friendly staff, clean rooms, lovely beds. Only one thing let it down, balcony on side street overlooking lots of rubbish bags & bins at end of night. These were collected early in morning which woke us up.

Room Tip: We preferred not to be on Bourbon Street as rather noisy. Excellent location of hotel

Royal Sonesta is a beautiful, historical hotel that still has the feel of an old world establishment, but has been updated to serve the needs of the 21st century traveler. Upon check-in I was upgraded to a nicer room due to availability. My room overlooked the beautiful courtyard and pool area, equipped with a full bar. The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and elegantly decorated. The location is perfect for prime access to Bourbon Street (address is 300 Bourbon Street I believe). The hotel was a bit loud (I was there on the 4th of July) but that's to be expected. I would stay here again and recommend this place for business, pleasure, or family travelers!

We truly enjoyed our stay here while in NOLA. The hotel is beautiful and definitely offers authentic New Orleans charm, especially in the common areas. The bedrooms have been eloquently updated to provide you with modern amenities. The pool is a nice touch with lovely lush garden areas surrounding it. Most importantly, I found the hotel to be very clean.

The service was top-notch and could easily compare to some of the 5-star hotels I've been to. I especially appreciated the doorman who was always so pleasant and even told us we better borrow an umbrella from the front desk because he could sense the rain coming, glad we listened because he was right. I also want to thank housekeeping who does an excellent job. And lastly, the 2 amazing servers (Dennis I believe was one of their names) that we had for our in-room dining experiences. The in-room dining breakfast was so delicious and the strawberry and champagne with a card was well done. These people helped to make our anniversary celebration one to remember.

The food at this hotel is excellent whether you order room service or dine at Desire or Revolution. The entertainment is also great at the Irvin Mayfield Jazz Playhouse. I am so glad I chose this hotel as it offered the perfect romantic stay for the occasion.

Room Tip: If you're a light sleeper be sure to request a room facing the side street or the gardens. If your facing Bourbon St. you will most likely be disturbed by the noise.

Went ahead and upgraded to the suite which was pricey but more roomy. Wonderful hotel in regards to service, location and amenities. I would recommend this hotel any day. Location is right on Bourbon and if you get a room or suite on back side it's very quite.

We have sytayed at this hotel many times and they have fabulous rooms and suites with great service and a wonderful location directly on Bourbon Street. E hotel rooms have been redone about 8 years ago and the bar recently was changed over to a jazz bar and is delicious. This is a treat in a city well known of hospitality
