Hotel Mazarin is a wonderful boutique hotel in the heart of the French Quarter. Having never been to New Orleans before, we chose the Hotel based on TripAdvisor Reviews, and we were not disappointed. It is a half block off of Bourbon Street, and a short walk to everything in the French Quarter. The location was perfect. It is also a beautiful hotel inside. We had a lovely, very clean room that has great attention to detail, from the robes and slippers to the free water that is replaced daily. Breakfast is included, which is a full buffet that has something for everyone. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and they happily accommodated every request and question that we had during our stay. We would whole heartedly recommend this hotel; it's a winner!!

Room Tip: Some rooms at Hotel Mazarin are quieter than others, so if you are concerned about noise or if you a...

Situated in the French Qaurter the Hotel Mazarin was the perfect location for this weekends Jazz Festival. It has been a superior experience all around from the meticulous cleanliness to the friendly staff. We asked for a room away from the street and as a result were unaware of any street noise. The spacious courtyard, where I am sitting right now as we await the airport shuttle, is a tranquil respit from hours of walking and listening to fantastic music. We know we will be back.

Had a wonderful stay. While the "Petit King" was lacking a desk it was very nicely furnished, clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was outstanding, always courteous and helpful. The location right off Bourbon Street was great. Close to everything yet a quiet refuge after having fun on Bourbon.

Highly recommended. My only suggestion to the management is a knee desk would be great since it could be used sitting up in bed. And congratulations on your superior staff, to a person they were free!

Room Tip: The inner courtyard rooms are quiet and away from the 24 hour street activity.

Loved our stay at the Hotel Mazarin, although be forewarned that rooms facing Bienville can be noisy, particularly late on a Saturday night (we ended up asking to move rooms, and our new room, facing the courtyard, was a HUGE improvement). Loved everything else about the hotel—walking distance to just about everything, friendly staff, terrific breakfast (still dreaming about those grits...), beautiful courtyard, and really lovely rooms. Great place for a first visit to the Big Easy!

Room Tip: Rooms facing the courtyard are quieter, and although we stayed on the second floor, I'd imagine...

This is our second time staying at the Hotel Mazarin and it was wonderful. The staff is fabulous, the room is spacious and the bed comfortable. Breakfast is excellent and even more enjoyable sitting in the beautiful courtyard. Location is perfect! Although the hotel is very close to Bourbon Street it is not loud at the hotel. I have never stayed in a room facing the street, so that could possibly be a little more loud. We always stay facing the courtyard and absolutely love it! We will definitely be staying here every time we return to New Orleans.

The accommodations were beyond wonderful! We had Premium King Reservations, the room was wonderful. Marble floors though out the room and bathroom, adjusting the water temperature took some getting used to but once we figured it out we had all the hot water we could ever ask for. The staff were very friendly and helpful! Free morning breakfasts were just perfect, plenty of choices.

So why did I put 4 instead of 5 on my rating, the NOISE, it wasn't the fault of the hotel, when you open and closed your balcony doors you could tell they had done their very best to do some noise dampening, however when you are located right around the corner from Bourbon Street there isn't much you can do about the noise level.

BUT the property itself, the staff and the accommodations were superb! So if you are prepared for the NOISE and I do mean ALOT OF IT, this property is a 5 rating!

Room Tip: Right when you make your reservation, do not wait until you get there because they will be filled up...

We were in New Orleans for a wedding, our first trip to the Big Easy. We wanted to stay in the French Quarter and chose the Mazarin based on trip advisor reviews, and we were not disappointed. The staff are super friendly, excellent buffet breakfast, great location etc. we had a Petit suite and, yes, it was 'petit' by European standards - but suited our needs, so no complaints.
I would have given 5 stars except for 2 'small' comments - firstly, no bath tubs in any rooms.. I am sure this is due to space, but I do like a bath, especially after a long day of walking/sightseeing, and seriously aching feet! Secondly, no food, of any type, served (after breakfast) even in the wine bar, which it think is a negative. The wine bar is a lovely space, adjoining the courtyard and it would have been an ideal place to be able relax with a glass of wine, and tapas, or something? not even bar snacks? This is a shame, as I personally think it would significantly add to the attraction of using the wiine bar.... Just a comment, not a criticism,
