Since this was our first trip to New Orleans really didn't know what to expect. We went by what was advertized. Courtyard view, desk in room, separate vanity. No desk,no vanity just a pedistal sink and our view was of a roof. The room was clean and the bed and bedding was amazing. I guess I should have asked more questions. Had to ask three times for a waste paper basket. Overall everyone was very pleasant. The hotel is still a work in progress, a lot of construction still going on.

We appreciate you taking the time to comment on Hotel Mazarin during your recent stay in New Orleans. As Hotel Mazarin is a historical property rooms vary in size, shape and view. We are in the process of our final detailing of our rooms, which will make our rooms perfect. We take pride in the cleanliness of Hotel Mazarin and the superior quality of our bedding. We do hope to see you again very soon at Hotel Mazarin.

We are frequent visitors to New Orleans. My wife had never stayed in the French Quarter before so we took a chance on the Hotel Mazarin. Wow, are we glad we did. You can't beat the location. Hotel was 1st Rate. Our room was clean. Service was terrific. Our only complaint would be that our room was right next to the elevator and was a little noisy with other guests coming and going (not too bad though). Our room had the safe installed but not the refrigerator (we survived without it). We would stay here again and we would recommend it to others as well.

The hotel was very nice and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I was concerned that the noise would make it hard to sleep (since we had a courtyard view room), but it really wasn't much of an issue. Special thanks to Theodore and Rene for their wonderful service!

The only major drawback to this hotel is that there is so much to do in in New Orleans but the beds at the Mazarine are so comfortable you never want to get out. I'm sure I lingered beneath the covers at least an hour longer than I had planned each morning.

Other strengths include the staff, who were all extremely helpful, genuine and friendly, and the room decor, which was tasteful and lovely.

Drawbacks were fairly minor. Rooms could have used a safe, a second wastebasket and more counter space in the bathroom.

I look forward to staying at the Mazarine again soon!

Hotel Mazarin great location right on Bienville Street, between Bourbon Street & one block fom Royal Street. The hotel has been recently renovated. A few small items still need to be added. Wall safe and small room refrigerator still need to be put in place. But that did not affect us. Front desk has a safe if you need to have anything stored for safekeeping. Very, very clean, not a speck of dust. The bed,“TO DIE FOR”. Slept like a rock! Saturday night the loudest, then again you are in New Orleans in the French Quarter! No need to use a car; walking distance to all the top and inexpensive restaurants, shops, and the French Market. We ate in GW Fins, & The Bombay Club. Two fine restaurants if you are looking to get away from the usual tourist places. Both are right near the Hotel Mazarin. Service in the hotel fabulous, staff is there when you need them. All very friendly, don’t be afraid to ask them to point out their favorite places that they like, and points of interest. Renee is a great person to ask for information, he is always willing to help. A lovely wine bar is attached to the hotel, 70 different wines by the glass, impressive. Stayed four days March 10-14, wished we could have stayed four more! The weather was fine for us, cool not hot. Room has great climate control system very quiet. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. Nice breakfast, starts at 7 am. Loved everything!!! See yah down in the big EZ.
