The shrimp and grits were very good. The red beans and rice were just ok. Service was very poor and in attentive. Drinks very pricey but Pimms Cup was really good.

stopped by there for lunch. lousy cocktail and 2 mediocre sandwiches later, we left disappointed. the owner and workers hung out constantly. maybe they should have paid more attention to the operation and kitchen quality. too many places to try on magazine to go back.

We were cruising Magazine, trying to find a place for a drink on our last night in NOLA, but not really hungry. We passed by Ignatius, and the owner invited us in. We sat at the bar, and met a very friendly, knowledgeable bartender, who introduced us to a couple of local specialities. And once we read the menu, and started drooling, we ordered shrimp and grits, and a seafood stuffed pepper.

The drinks were interesting, but the food was great. We learned a lot about NOLA, and fully enjoyed our evening, thanks to the lovely bartender from the Marigny and Jerry.

Food was tasteless, service mediocre. With so many good eateries in the area, not sure why this joint is still in business. They need the guy from Restaurant Impossible to do an intervention.

Recommend the yams. Enjoyed the boudin meatloaf and a pimm's cup. Sarted with the bisque and thought it was good but not incredible. Definitely a return trip.
