On this trip to New Orleans, I was very hesitant to stay at this hotel again. Seeing as how the last time I was not happy. However, we got a good deal and I thought why not. We had the best time at the hotel and everyone was very helpful. It was a true luxury visit. We stayed on the Club Level and enjoyed the amenities that provided. I was very very impressed with the selection at night and the free cocktails. The gentleman in the club room was great. I can not remember his name but he was wonderful. Darlene was also lovely. We had brunch on Sunday and drinks Sunday night at the Grill Room. I am from New Orleans and I can say that the gumbo is possibly the best that I have had. I woke up early in the morning to go to bikram yoga on Julia Street and the cold water in the lobby was a nice touch. I do wish they had kept it out a little longer, becuase it was gone by the time I returned. It rained as we left one day, and they handed us two umbrellas. Turn down service was nice, with mini chocolates left or pralines. We did not order room service or go to the spa, and there were no incidents with housekeeping. I love the pool area. Unfortunately, whenever we went it was either raining or overcast. Today was the longest I was able to go and I enjoyed it very much. I lost my Chanel sunglasses on Sunday, and was in a panic. I was very upset and did not think that I would find them. I retraced my steps and everyone was very helpful. I went to the front desk, just to see and they called security to see. I had already spoken to security thirty minutes prior so I was not hopeful. However, they had them! Someone had turned them in, they were found in the lobby. I was very very happy! The only annoying thing was that our room cards kept not working. I had to go down to the front desk about six times over the trip. I will be back and wish that we could have stayed longer!
