We recently stayed six nights at the Windsor Court Hotel while attending a meeting in NOLA. The hotel location is very convenient, and by and large the staff was very accommodating. We were in a suite which was a great room and had plenty of space. However there were several irritations that you do not expect when spending the amount of money per night that you do for this hotel.
House keeping was consistently poor in terms of thoroughness. Cups were not replaced, one day the bath mat was missing as were some towels, dirty glasses and bottles were not removed, and a towel turban my wife uses to dry her hair was removed.
The bathroom suffers slightly in that this is an older hotel and the tub/shower is of an older design. This is quite slippery which can be easily solved with the addition of rubber mat for the tub.
Our first night we begged and cajoled to get into the dining room although we had no reservation. After the hostess talked to the dining room manager, and with some wringing of hands they were able to seat us, for which we were grateful, and had a great meal. However, as the restaurant was less than half full for the entire evening, we didn't understand the fuss about getting a table.
We will certainly consider the Windsor Court for our next visit, but we will probably look at other hotels as well.

The Widsor court takes its name from Windsor Castle in England and you can picture the Queen sleeping here. We stayed in a King Suite room that was very Victorian in decor. The Bed was GREAT and the ammenities were above par. The Hotel bars and Resturaunt were terrific. Good entertainment and Great drinks. Also a daily afternoon tea sitting that was fun to see women with their big hats enjoying.Food was not cheap but very good. Right across the street from the casino if you want to get in some gaming. I think my only complaint was the availability of ice. No machines so you had to call for some and many times it took 10-15 mins. to get. You also felt obliged to tip the guy so you basically paying for ice. Also thought the suite should have a fridge so you can store some leftovers of all the good NOLA foods you eat. I would also mention that this is a grand hotel and NOT a trendy one so if you want modern decor and trendy bars this isn't your place. If you want to be treated like a King or Queen...this is your place.

Large and luxurious rooms in a great New Orleans location. Elegant lobby with a great bar upstairs. Perfect location for us-halfway between the convention center and French Quarter. One can walk to either in about 10 minutes. It's also across the street from Harrah's if you like to gamble. The staff was great and very helpful during our stay-you can absolutely trust their advice on just about anything. We generally have pretty high expectations when staying at hotels in this category and we were pleased with this experience. Our suite was large and nicely furnished, with a large bathroom, 2 balconies, a sitting and dining area and a large bar. We shared a double room across the hall (rooms at the end of the hall can be closed off behind an outer door) and it was also pretty large-had we not been traveling with our 2 year old, this room would have been more than suitable. The food we ordered through in room dining was okay but not great. With so many great dining option in New Orleans, though, no one should be ordering room service anyway!

Room Tip: We thought we booked a suite with an adjoining room and were a bit surprised when we realized the ro...

This hotel has been my mainstay in New Orleans for many years. It is beauifully appointed and the service is extraordinary. It is quiet and elegant, yet it meets the needs of anyone traveling to and staying in New Orleans. The food is wonderful and the available amenities should satisfy all tastes. It is well located for touring, shopping, or attending a meeting at the Morial Convention Center.

Room Tip: The suites are all wonderful.

My wife and I were in the middle of our Gulf-hugging motorcycle journey when we stopped at the Windsor Court Hotel. The valet parking staff were wonderful: showing us a safe place to park our bikes overnight, and helping us unload our gear. We were upgraded at check-in to a suite which, after a long day on the bikes, was a real treat. All the staff were welcoming and helpful in a quiet and understated way--the New Orleans way! We love New Orleans and a stay at this hotel is a perfect way to enjoy the city.

My wife and I had the pleasure of spending five nights at tis beautiful, centrally located hotel that lives up to its reputation for quality, service, and amenities. Although rack rate is pricey, deals can be had for conferences. We had a three room spacious suite with sn incredible view of the waterfront for less an $300/night. Nice spa, pool, and fitness room.and impeccable service!

Superb club level that is a great value. We sampled many restaurants and found The Grill Room, one of the two best. We highly recommend the degustation menu with the wine pairings.

The well trained staff enriched our visit. We will return soon.

Room Tip: Enjoy a club level suite......a great way to enhance your stay.
