“Cozy and Close to French Quarter”

Found the Omni a block from convention hotel. Much more charm and reasonable rates than a modern high rise. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Super clean and comfortable! Noise from the street was a bit louder than I expected, but was the only drawback.

We loved the Omni Royal Crescent. The location is great --close enough to the French Quarter, but far enough away to get a good night's sleep. We stayed in room 310 which was large (about 600 plus square feet). It had two king beds, two bathrooms with a Roman tub in one. The rooms were separated by a door for privacy. We were traveling with my mother-in-law so that worked out perfectly. The only flaw I saw was that the carpet in the room needs to be re-stretched, but otherwise it was perfect.. Breakfast came with our room package. It consisted of bacon, eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, homemade sausage patties, pancakes, stone ground grits and lots of other food. The morning manager, Mark, was great! He saw us walking to a restaurant one evening and gave us a ride in his car. I am particular about staying in updated (renovated) hotels and this one looked newly painted with nice crown molding in the hallways. We did encounter some rowdy room guests one night. They came in about 1 a.m. and were very noisy, so we called down to Brittany at the front desk and she quieted them down. My son also loved the kids' turn down service which includes big chocolate chip cookies and milk. I thought that was a nice bonus and something other hotels don't offer. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to NOLA.

Upon arrival at the hotel the check-in was a breeze. After a long trip this was great. We were greeted by the hotel manager who was very friendly. The guy at the front desk seemed to be a little confused at first as if he was new but he was very pleasant. The valet was cheaper than I thought it would be. The valet clerk was very helpful and assisted us with our bags.

Room: The room we booked was a King upgraded room. Upon entering the room was surprised at how spacious it was. I had already been prepared to not have a view because it stated so on the reservations. I did not mind with no sun creeping in I was able to sleep late in the mornings. The bathroom had a huge jetted tub big enough for two with a European styled shower. I bought my laptop and HDMI cable hoping to watch movies from my laptop on the television but there was no HDMI outlet on the television. Other than that the room was perfect for us.

Service: I thought the service was great at the front desk. I called down about the ac not blowing cold enough and they responded right away. It just takes a little while for it to cool the room. The next morning we received a call to the room to asking if we had any more problems with the ac. About 5 minutes after being in the room room service arrived with ice and cold water. One that stood out to me was the girl at the front desk on the night shift named Doneeka. She was great!!!

Other: We booked our room with the romance package. It was well worth it. We had champagne delivered to our room on the day of our anniversary. We used our $100 food and drink credit towards our anniversary dinner in the Dress It restaurant located inside the hotel. We were also able to used some towards room service breakfast. The lady in the restaurant was very helpful with choosing our food. The portions for the meals were very generous. With the package we also got to check-out late.I would defiantly recommend the Romance Package for a special occasion.

Pros: Fast check-in, great customer service, great food, cheap valet price.

Cons: The staff needs to be aware of how the Romance package works. Even though we had late check-out with our do not disturb beads on the door the housekeeping still knocked on the door. If you are going to sleep in be mindful that you may not get your room cleaned that day. There is a charge for WiFi.

Tip: Become a Select Member to get free WiFi and a few other perks.

Room Tip: Room 414 was great it is an upgraded King room with no view, and has huge jetted tub. It is away fro...

Thank you for choosing to stay with us to celebrate your anniversary! We’re glad you enjoyed the romance package. We do apologize for housekeeping knocking at the door when you had the do not disturb beads on the door. We hope you had a great time enjoying New Orleans and also hope you’ll come back next time you’re in town.

Two blocks off Canal Street in downtown; easy walk into French Quarter and to trolley stops. Quiet location. Two bedroom, two bath suite nice for family. "No view" means NO WINDOW -- surprising, but not a problem since we did not spend much time in the room. Worth it to have two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

I was so disappointed, and i did not find it comfortable because the poor hygienic slandered, the carpet is very untidy across the room, and many time i was about to trip over it, and does not look clean clean , the carpet edges are completely discolored because of too much dirt on it. the room service is well below expected standard , and i had to call the manger daily at list three times to have the room hovered. it is not good value for money. the room very noisy day and night i hardly manged to have a couple of hours sleep at night without been disturbed by a lot of noise from the neighborhood.

We are sorry that your room was not clean when you checked-in. We also apologize for the noise you experienced during your stay. In the event this occurs, please let us know so we can do our best to move you to a new room. We take noise complaints in the hotel very seriously and do our best to give all our guests a quiet environment for a good night’s sleep. Unfortunately there is only so much we can do to control noise on the street.

Very happy with our stay there. The in house bar, though small, was pretty well stocked and comfortable. The restaurant has great burgers & tater tots! It also has a delicious breakfast buffet. Their staff is fantastic....very friendly and more than helpful.

Hotel staff and accomodations were great. We loved the location of hotel - 2 blocks from Canal Street and a short walking distance to Bourbon Street - so you were close to all the action, yet removed enough for peace and quiet. Price was very reasonable and would love to come back to visit New Orleans and when we do - plan to stay at Omni!
