I stayed here twice, once in 2012 and another time in 2013, and I really enjoy staying here. Lots of square footage in the rooms, and the room are beautifully detailed. I hope to stay here again in October for the Workboat Show!

Stayed at half a dozen or so accommodations in NOLA in the past decade. This was a quick overnight stay while in route from Dune Allen Beach, FL to Houston, TX. Regardless, of your tier status or how many stays you have had, OMNI treats all Loyalty/Select Guests with complimentary perks that make each stay more valuable than the actual rate paid. We had a double king suite (one good sized bedroom and one smaller bedroom) each with their own private baths. Excellent value! Since the building does not have a courtyard, our room was dark and windowless; but, little time was spent in the room as we played "the Quarter." The location is quieter and a relatively easy walk to the heart of the Quarter. Only negative is valet service. We waited over 20 minutes for the one time we wanted to retrieve our car on a quiet Monday afternoon (I suggest self parking in public garage next to the La Quinta caddy corner to the Omni). The front desk receptionist was exceptionally gracious and accommodating and the housekeeping/cleanliness of our rooms was excellent. The bartender at the small bar area was super friendly and had just enough Strawberry Abita for us!

This was the first trip away together for my wife and I since our son was born. We were also celebrating our Anniversary and had been looking forward to this trip. After researching many hotels in the New Orleans area, we decided on the Omni Royal Crescent. It was a great choice and we had a wonderful time. It is no more than a 5-10 minute walk to any of the areas that you would want to visit.

We had requested a room on the same floor as the jacuzzi area so that we could visit that area without having to negotiate the elevators. The morning of our arrival, I received a phone call from Brandi letting me know that they were able to meet our request and that she would call me as soon as our room was ready for check in. As promised, she called just as we were arriving at the hotel. When we entered the hotel, we were greeted by Elray. They had our keys and everything ready for our arrival. Elray unloaded our luggage and almost made it to the room before we did. At 6pm, there was a knock at the door. When I opened the door, it was Elray delivering a complimentary bottle of champagne for our Anniversary.....very nice touch. We mentioned to Elray that we were looking for recommendations for dinner that evening. He asked what type of food and when we told him shrimp/seafood, he said "Ok, we're going to Deanies....stop by the front desk on your way out and I will give you directions". Elray was right on the money with his recommendation because the food was outstanding.

Our room was a corner room with windows on 2 of the walls. It had a great view and was just fine for the two of us. I have read many reviews stating that the rooms in New Orleans are "small", so I wasn't expecting a large room. As I said, it was just fine for the two of us. Everything in the room was clean and appeared to be in great condition. We had no complaints.

When leaving, we called down to the front desk to request our car be brought around. Elray had mentioned to give them about 15 minutes notice. We got our luggage downstairs, said goodbye and thank you to Brandi, and walked outside just as our car arrived.

Thank you Omni staff for helping to make our trip a memorable one.

Brandi and Elray - Please keep up the good work....you two are the main reasons that we will be back again soon.

Room Tip: Great breakfast at the Commerce Cafe across the street. Get there early before their amazing biscui...

This hotel is great in every aspects. Location is very close and within walking distance to all major attraction, and if you have to take streetcar-the RTA stops are in every corner. Being located 2 blocks away from French Quarter saved you from all the hustle and noise which can forbid you from having a good rest. This hotel is very clean, ample amount of towels and quality toiletries provided. Customer service was excellent, we were driving overnight and arrived early morning-Nathalie on front desk was very understanding and accommodating. She let us check-in immediately with no hustle or extra charge to the exact room we reserved.

If you're looking for something grown and sexy, not too far away from the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter, quiet, walking distance to almost everything (Casino/Riverwalk etc etc) this is your place. We LOVED our stay and the staff were always ready and willing to help in any way they could--They were all so very sweet. Our room ALWAYS stayed clean and we never had any issues with our room--PERFECTO!! This was the perfect stay for us and we will be coming back! Vegas used to be our spot, but after this trip, we'll be back soon--I miss N.O. & this hotel already!! You won't be disappointed if you choose this treasure....You'll be coming back just like us.

My husband and I live about an hour away from New Orleans and often make quick overnight trips just to get away and relax. We've tried over 30 hotels in the area and feel like we've really found a gem in the Royal Crescent.
Though still close, this hotel is located in the Warehouse district. We used to love staying in the french quarter, but as more and more tourist have crowded in the area, we've ventured across Canal Street and started to try the hotels in this section of town.
What first caught my eye was the price. It was about $50 cheaper than the Westin (where we usually stay) and since it was a 4 star hotel, we decided to try it. Boy were we impressed!
From the first moment that we stepped in, the front desk was so accommodating and helpful. We needed extra parking for our son and they worked it, no problem.
The decor is just beautiful. It has that old world flavor with ornate trimmings and English paintings. When we entered the room, we were delighted to find that it was actually 2 rooms with a large bed in each and 2 bathrooms with one having a jacuzzi tub! The decor, again was beautiful and the beds were so comfortable I didn't want to get out of it the next morning.
The room also contained 2 flat screened TV's, 2 small refrigerators and a coffee machine (many hotels have stopped offering this).
The next morning, we ate at the hotels restaurant and enjoyed their breakfast buffet which was delicious and had a nice atmosphere and friendly staff.
This hotel also has a deck with a small wading pool and tables. Super great area to relax in.

For those of you who aren't familiar with New Orleans, this hotel might seem out of the way, and far from Jackson Square and other Quarter Attractions. But the truth is, it's just a couple of blocks, easy walking distance. It's also close to the St. Charles trolley's that take you to the Garden District and a few blocks from Harrah's if gambling is your interest.
This area has really been growing and a variety of restaurants, shops and clubs. It's really nice to walk around since it's not near as crowded as the Quarter. You also might see a movie being filmed around here too!

We like this hotel so much, we've already booked a return trip!

Room Tip: Don't miss the breakfast buffet in the restaurant.
