We always enjoy at least one meal at Stanley's (if there's not a long wait). Great location, pretty darn good food, nice variety, and an excellent-attentive staff. Its not over the top to die for, but rather its solid, consistent, steady, and I'm betting you will enjoy the eats.

This is the casual "little brother" restaurant of the more upscale Stella! (Get it? Stanley and Stella! Streetcar Named Desire?)

Stanley is great for what it is. A casual joint to fall into for an outstanding burger and a drink. Their onion rings are great and they aren't stingy with the booze. We went around nine p.m. and it wasn't crowded. Definitely an OK place without pretensions.

Stopped in for lunch and the place was packed, but the menu looked interesting so we decided to wait the 20 minutes for a table (which actually turned into closer to 40 minutes). It's nice that the hostess takes your cell number and texts you when your table is ready so that you can stroll around Jackson Square. The white russian milkshake is fantastic as was the gumbo. The korean BBQ poor boy was good but the meat was a little fatty for my taste. My boyfriend got a burger and it was pretty good, although nothing exceptional. The cajun potatoes were tasty too. They serve breakfast all day, and the menu looked pretty tempting with banana fosters french toast and eggs benedict poor boy. One thing I noticed during my trip was that most restaurants around the Quarter served very tasteless bread. Stanley was an exception. Good quality food and very nice atmosphere.

My husband and I are both local restaurant managers from casual concept to the finest dining experience in New Orleans... I used to revere this place as the go to for visiting guests... Our experience Monday will be a FINAL experience... The service used to be efficient and friendly. Now it is impersonal and uncaring. The food is mediocre at best.., I would suggest getting some trainers in her who care about guest service... Good luck. As a manager I make the experience better if something goes wrong... I don't tell my guests they are wrong... Slipping big time... Will not return... Will miss the corned beef and hash... It used to be worth it...

Sort of a "diner" atmosphere, Stanley offers easy lunch or light dinner menu options with mostly sandwiches and burgers. A little overpriced for the amount of food you receive. For example, all side dishes were $4 (cole slaw, french fries, etc). Great location and cool atmosphere.
