Sheraton New Orleans Hotel

Stayed here 4 days for conference. It is in prime location for easy access to French Quarter. However, it is an average hotel for its class. Nothing special! Décor is jaded with paint peeling off the doors, broken hinges to the wardrobe door, gaps under the room door allowing noise from the corridor. The elevators have a built in algorithm which works out the shortest wait time for the floor one wants . We rarely had a long wait time. However, if one gets in to the wrong lift by mistake, there are no floor buttons to push inside the lift and can get confusing. Housekeeping is very slow, with room not being cleaned until after 2:30 pm on two of the 4 day stay. The level of detail expected from a 4star hotel was missing. I rarely saw the front glass doors being cleaned and this is when attending a medical conference ! There is wifi which is free in the lobby but chargeable in the rooms. The breakfast at $29 per person is expensive. There is a Starbucks on-site or numerous eat out options nearby. However, it truly is in the heart of the French Quarter with a lot of the tourist attractions within walking distance. Overall, if I return to NOLA, pound for pound, I would personally try another hotel nearby.

Attended a conference here and the space was massive, being the largest hotel in new orleans. It is the standard american 4 star hotel - boring browns all over, tired carpets, jaded staff

The lifts did indeed have the new fangled technology where you key in your floor on the keypad, and the screen tells you which liftcar to go to. This is a oldish hotel, which is impressive, considering the newest intercontinentals and westins in asia are using this technology only now

The room is normal sized, with the dreadful bathtub instead of a shower stall. Housekerping was patchy, never refilling the teabags during the 5 days i was there. And when i wanted to pass her the laundry, she had no clue what to do with it

There's a hotel bistro that had pedestrian fare. Their po boy sandwich was just a below average dry chicken sandwich

Our stay here was unbelievable! The location is great and the service is wonderful. Not to mention their breakfast buffet!!! I forgot the name of the chef, but she was absolutely pleasant. I highly recommend!

Stayed here one night before a cruise, arrived in the lobby and realized I had lost my drivers license at the airport somewhere. The lady at the desk was very understanding and helped out as much as she could. We made it to the room and it was very clean, only complaint was that the a/c did not get cool enough even on the lowest setting. Elevators were interesting and it was hard to get used to pushing you floor and then waiting to see which elevator you would get onto. Overall great hotel and very friendly staff.

This hotel really is in a great location. VERY central to Bourban street. Also - rooms are nice and clean. Just don't Valet! They dinged my front bumper pretty bad. I was unfortunately driving across country, so I didn't notice it until I washed all the bugs off the car, but I had actually taken a picture of it right before valeting there and the ding wasn't there, and it was after.

My first trip to New Orleans was for business, but I made time for pleasure as well. This hotel has great rooms, quiet air conditioning. I had a GREAT view of the river from the 44th floor. Housekeeping was exceptional. This was a great location.

Room Tip: If possible pay the extra to have access to the club room. Breakfast every morning, free water and...
