In town for a long weekend and stayed on the 37th floor. Amazing no wait elevators, a terrific view of the river (or the lake from the other side of the hallway) and cheerful staff. We paid $215 a night and another $49 to valet park the car, but took the car out a couple of times a day and there were no additional charges. The longest wait for the car was 10 minutes for a valet to retrieve the car when we were ready to head out. I know that in New Orleans there are a lot of guests who stay out much later than we did, but we were never woken up by rowdy partiers returning to their rooms. Walking distance to the street car, River Front and French Quarter.

I was there for a conference and had a room with 2 double beds on the tenth floor with a view on the french quarter, which is very close to the hotel
the room was very confortable and clean
the staff of the hotel very nice
the only criticism I would have is about the soundproofing: I could really hear the noise of the street during the night. But as I was aware of that before my stay, I had ear plugs and it was fine

We stayed for 2 nights at the end of May, as a couple, on the 40th floor. The beds were amazing, the room was large and very clean, and staff kept it clean, by noon. The hotel bar was good, and SOOO glad to have a Starbucks in the lobby!! The front desk staff was also very helpfull when we had to check out and store our bags for a while.

Booked 5 days at the Sheraton on Canal Street, its a short walk to Bourbon Street and the rest of the French Quarter, felt safe late night coming from Bourbon, there are police at the intersection, for those of you with children just beware you do pass some strip clubs and adult stores at this end of Bourbon. There are a few stores, like Walgreens close also. Room was spacious and clean and hotel, to be a large hotel, was quiet. Wifi/computers offered in the atrium. Upon arrival your car is whisked away by a valet to an offsite parking garage, our only complaint, parking was around $30 a day, but that's Nawlins'. The pool is on the roof also, we enjoyed it one afternoon. Food, what can I say, Nawlins's has some of the best eats around, we had the famous peanut butter burger and gumbo at Yo Mama's, shrimp & oysters at The ACME House, beignets at Cafe Dumond to name a few. If you like music Krazy Korner was awesome, The Cat's Meow and Razoo's was awesome. Don't forget to buy a few Hurricanes and Hand Grenades while there. Also Labor Day in Nawlins' also celebrate's Southern Decadence, which is what I call the equivalent of Gay Mardi Gras, lol. There is not as many people but there are parades and such and it's a fun time and if your a people watcher this is for you. Nawlins is different and that's what we enjoy about it!

Went there for a wedding party. Right next to the French Quarter so easy for walking around the sites. Asked for a room up high and they gave it to us. The view of the Mississippi is 5 stars. Our front desk experience for check in was friendly and accommodating.

The price on their movies seems high ($18 for Zero Dark 30) and of course no WiFi in the room unless you want to pay extra. I guess everyone wants to nickel and dime you.

The Starbucks located in the hotel was the worse service Starbucks I have ever experienced. Line is slow, people that are supposed to be working stand around doing nothing. Then when my wife bought they asked if she wanted a receipt. She said no. Then we went to the side to pick up and they asked us to pay.. Told them we had already paid and they asked for our receipt. Finally someone remembered we had paid. Next day I witnessed the person in front pay cash. Ther Starbucks person wandered off without giving change. When they came back she asked for change and it took her her a minute to convince them they had not given her change. IN both cases initially the customer is treated as criminal and never an apology. OH did I mention people standing around not working with a line. I know this is not the fault of the Sheraton but they might want to pay some attention to it since it is located in the hotel and becomes part of the total experience.

Room was clean when we arrived. No problem with room cleanup that others mentioned. The view once again--get a high up floor with a view of the Mississippi and it is a WOW day and night.

Hope you had a great time in town for the wedding! Great feedback and we hope you got to make use of the complimentary WiFi in our lobby for all of our guests. We are sorry to hear there was a wait at the Starbucks, it is very popular and we continue to work to improve the speed of service and experience. Look forward to seing you back in New Orleans soon!

The Sheraton Canal Street has one of the best locations in New Orleans... just across from Bourbon Street and close to so many attractions! It has one of the best views of the city and the service is amazing!

What a great location for a hotel in NO. great restaurants in the hotel too. The only downside is the enormous size... Easy to get a little lost.

Pros: indoor Bball courts, glass elevators with view, food choices in hotel!!
