This hotel is the perfect French Quarter location. Our room had a balcony facing the French Market. When we tired of walking we sat and had a beer there and listened to a jazz band mearby.
The hotel consists of 5 buildings around a protected parking area, a pool and courtyards. The staff is friendly and anxious to serve.
Our room reminded me of Europe with antique decor with an updated, modern bathroom. The price was reasonable for the quarter. Near Cafe du Monde and Jackson Square.

We stayed here in mid April. The location was great- not too noisy but very convenient. We had a junior suite- which just means a bit of a sitting area/larger room. The bathroom was small and old but adequate. There was a pretty good continental breakfast but no coffee /tea set out through the day and no hot water maker in the room, not much of a lobby- just a check in desk. For this, two people, we spent 249 for the weeknights and 299 for the Friday night we were there. The pool area is quite nice though still a bet early in the season to use it. Our room faced the street and though there was some street noise, it didnt keep me up. I suspect that it would be worse during Jazz fest, Mardi Gras. I would not want a room facing the patio /pool area due to noise. It was a bit odd that there was a balcony but the windows/doors did not open to allow access to this. when the weather got warmer, we realized that our AC wasnt working and they got it fixed by the end of the day.

A friend and I just spent 4 nights here on a mini vacation. It happened to coincide with jazzfest, which really drove up the price of the room. Our room was in building 5, which actually overlooked Decatur St and quite close to the Mississippi River in the French Quarter. The room had a little bit of a stale smell that either we became used to or it went away. It was neat and clean. The carpet could have used a shampoo because when we ran around in our athletic socks, they got quite dirty. The staff was friendly and Sharlane at the desk printed our boarding passes while we took a tour. She also left a note for an early taxi pickup the next morning. The continental breakfast is really basic but it will get you on your way (coffee, Danish, cereal, bagels). The hotel was quiet and close walking distance to shops, restaurants and Bourbon St. I would stay there again only this time without an event going on in New Orleans for a better room rate.

The hotel is in a great location on Chartres Street, well-placed for everything without the need for a car. The staff were friendly and helpful, the bar serves excellent cocktails and the bar staff were entertaining and knowledgeable. Complementary breakfast was ok. The hotel is spread over a wide area behind it's facade with a number of buildings and a central car park. We were in room 410 which presumably is in building 4. The interior of the room was fine but it was located next to a side street with a good number of pedestrians passing the window and it was quite noisy until late in the evening. The room was also quite dark as the ony window, onto the street, was shuttered. We would stay here again but would opt for a room away from the road even if it cost more, we paid 118 plus tax.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the street

Great location in the French Quarter for the price. Right next door to one of the best fine dining resturants in NOLA....Stella's. Lots more good eats places right around the corner on Decatur. Conventient to everything, including Frenchman's late night. My husband complained because there was no balcony, but the cost would have gone up tremendously. So, no balcony, but small courtyard. Our room was well decorated in antiques and nostalgic furnishings to include wrought iron, brass, crown molding, and chair rails. Very charming. Our queen bed and beddings were very comfy/casual. NIce carpet The bathroom was modern chic and very clean. The elevators in my building were slow and small. The staff was helpful with info and considerate. Not pet friendly.

The hotel is close to Jackson Square, but in a quiet part of the Quarter. The hotel itself is charming with fountains and a pool. We had a view of the Mississippi and it was lovely. There is a is a small bar on the property and they serve complimentary continental breakfasts in AM. The staff were very friendly and polite. We stayed in building 5 which was a hospital years ago. The bathroom was remodeled and lovely. The room was very comfortable for two people. I would absolutely stay here again. It was close to everything and quiet!

Room Tip: I would book a room in Building 5 and ask for a view.

We booked a room for 110 + taxes, which is a fabulous price for the location. The hotel is close to Jackson Square, but in a quiet part of the Quarter. The courtyard and pool are lovely and there is a bar on property where they serve complimentary continental breakfasts in AM. The staff were very friendly and polite. Our room was on the pool and it was very quiet. The bedroom was ok; adequate but nothing fancy. The bathroom, however, was very much in need of remodeling. The tub was plastic and I could hear water "squishing" under the tub when I stepped in. If they will modernize the bath, we will stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the pool or courtyard.
