“Must stay!!!”
Reviewed April 25, 2013

My fiance and I stayed here this past March for the first time. We are frequent visitors to New Orleans (several times a year) and have tried many of the hotels in the French Quarter and surrounding areas. This is definitely our new favorite place to stay! Room was clean, updated linens and bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the PB&J @ 10pm every night! Perfect way to top off an evening or starting one! Besides the absolute elegance of the hotel, what keeps us wanting to come back is the wonderful staff! I have never, in all my travels, encountered such wonderful, customer service driven employees. We are returing in May to begin our wedding planning and have all of our guests staying there in July for the wedding. It may be a bit of a walk to the French Quarter but all the perks of this hotel make it all worth while! Such a great place to stay, we won't ever stay anywhere else!

Our first hotel got canceled and that was the biggest blessing, because we got to stay at the Le Pavillon and it was worth every penny even if we couldn't stay as long as we planned. The rooftop jacuzzi was amazing and the PB&J in the evening was too cool. Really close to everything! The rooms were decorated old school, but it was still wonderful and added to the charm.
We also left our pillows from home and they were kind enough to ship them to us. We loved the city, the food and Le Pavillon and I highly recommend staying here!

What can I say? 100 year old classic hotel. The decor: tres francais and continental. Service is great. Bed is VERY comfy. Rooms are spacious and very up to date with gorgeous baths. The PB&J sandwiches are a classic! Nicely located on the edge of the French Quarter so you have the convenience of walking without the noise. We were here on business and the meeting rooms were nice.

I recently spent one night at Le Pavillon Hotel in New Orleans. This is an old historic hotel, well located to the French Quarter, the Warehouse district and the Superdome. The room in which I stayed was a junior suite and was roomy but had the elevator shafts running through it. Luckily I can accommodate to white noise. I suppose they might have relocated me if I had asked. The bathroom was recently redone with excellent fixtures and a jacuzzi tub. However, the outflow plumbing, with all fixtures, had apparently not been upgraded and all "vessels" emptied quite slowly. The bed was also much too soft for me, although I think most people would find it comfortable. All in all, this hotel is just OK. If one wanted to stay in a historic hotel, The Royal Sonesta would be a better choice.

Beautiful hotel and lovely staff. It isn't up to the high level standards of some of the other Leading Hotels of the World, but it is still very good. The rooms are gorgeous and the amenities are very nice. Great quality beds and linens. The bathrooms are quite small, but the property is 100 years old. The corridors in the hallways are beautiful. The main dining room is just drop dead amazing feast for the eyes. The daily breakfast buffet is pretty good for $19.99...I highly recommend it.

We did not meet any of celebrated ghosts that are rumored to haunt the hotel, but those people we did meet here were so hospitable our stay was a pure joy. The public room are breathtaking and at the same time welcoming and homey. We enjoyed decompressing in the bar in the evening. Gustave, the concierge, not only knows New Orleans, he clearly loves it and his enthusiasm is infectious. The extra touches like turn-down service complete with peanut butter and jelly cookies and the 10:00 PM hot chocolate and PB&J in the lobby make this a memorable place to stay. The rooms are very comfortable if not so elegant as the lobby, the bathroom a bit cramped, but still nicely appointed. We will stay here again happily!

Ok so lets face it, it is not my taste at all since it looks like Scarlett O'Hara took care of the design, but it has its own style, and it is very charming. Beware though it is an old hotel so the room might smell a bit, fan in the bathroom might be tempered and the TV might not have a perfect image but you forgive an old lady. Although the hotel is well located, near both the garden district and the French quarter and prices are decent. Do not take the deserts at the hotel restaurant, it's big, tasteless, and you might have to get a bypass surgery after that.
