Beautiful hotel and lovely staff. It isn't up to the high level standards of some of the other Leading Hotels of the World, but it is still very good. The rooms are gorgeous and the amenities are very nice. Great quality beds and linens. The bathrooms are quite small, but the property is 100 years old. The corridors in the hallways are beautiful. The main dining room is just drop dead amazing feast for the eyes. The daily breakfast buffet is pretty good for $19.99...I highly recommend it.

We did not meet any of celebrated ghosts that are rumored to haunt the hotel, but those people we did meet here were so hospitable our stay was a pure joy. The public room are breathtaking and at the same time welcoming and homey. We enjoyed decompressing in the bar in the evening. Gustave, the concierge, not only knows New Orleans, he clearly loves it and his enthusiasm is infectious. The extra touches like turn-down service complete with peanut butter and jelly cookies and the 10:00 PM hot chocolate and PB&J in the lobby make this a memorable place to stay. The rooms are very comfortable if not so elegant as the lobby, the bathroom a bit cramped, but still nicely appointed. We will stay here again happily!

Ok so lets face it, it is not my taste at all since it looks like Scarlett O'Hara took care of the design, but it has its own style, and it is very charming. Beware though it is an old hotel so the room might smell a bit, fan in the bathroom might be tempered and the TV might not have a perfect image but you forgive an old lady. Although the hotel is well located, near both the garden district and the French quarter and prices are decent. Do not take the deserts at the hotel restaurant, it's big, tasteless, and you might have to get a bypass surgery after that.

First visit to NOLA. The hotel is elegant, staff are terrific and they have an endearing tradition. Every night from 10 to 11 pm peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with hot chocolate is served in their beautiful lobby. The concierge gave excellent advice.

What an unusual and captivating structure! The entrance and the main floor are a visual treat. Note the chandeliers. They seem to suggest the local mature oaks, with branches dipping to the ground. Our large room (a junior suite) was stylishly appointed and a large. Good value. A short walk to the French quarter. The service is gracious and down to earth. We'd like to make special mention of Concierge Gustave, who went out his way to be helpful, while maintaining a relaxed and friendly demeanor. The kitchen is "hotel standard". Unfortunately, the wireless is indeed "wireless", a boon to roaming charges by my local cell provider and pretty annoying to me.

Le Pavillon is the perfect location for a quiet retreat just walking distance from The French Quarter or any trolley car to locales further out, the perfect ambiance of historical elegance, an excellent staff both efficient and welcoming, and affordable. I would absolutely stay here again. You need to know it's about $39 total per night to park a car, but it is safe and guarded and brought to the hotel front door whenever you need it. Also there is no DVD player in the room. Everything else overshadows these two things making it a definate return destination.

Absolutely the best part of our stay on New Orleans. I would highly recommend this hotel for those looking for first class accommodations , a quiet section yet 5 minutes walk from the action. Beautiful lobby and pool area. I would go back in a heart beat.
