Le Pavillon Hotel New Orleans LA
Le Pavillon is a very unique hotel in New Orleans. It dates back 100+ years. The décor is decidedly very French. The furnishings can only be described as elegant. The hotel is a member of the Historic Hotels of America. It features beautiful antiques throughout.
The hotel features high ceilings with ornate moldings. The curtains and artwork are antique. Our room had an antique ceiling fan. They supply white terry bath robes. In the evening, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are served with milk or tea in the lobby.
There are pictures of French celebrities and royalty everywhere. The pool and work out areas are also very nice and the pool overlooks the city offering a unique view of downtown New Orleans.
One of the best features of this hotel is its proximity to the famed Bourbon Street. It is a 10 minute walk away. It is close enough to walk to but far enough that you don’t hear the noise.
The hotel is reported to be haunted and you can schedule a séance in your room if you want to conjure spirits.
The hotel staff was excellent and we were very pleased with our accommodations. This is a great hotel to stay at if you want the feel of old New Orleans from yesteryear.More
