Had the privilege to stay in the Presidential Suite Nine Thirty. Gorgeous suite. We ordered room service twice for dinner and food was hot, on-time and had great presentation. I had forgotten a few items and the Concierge provided these items immediately. Pam at the bar makes excellent drinks and great conversation. The hotel held our luggage our last day so we could tour the city. They also provided us with a credit card cab to and from the airport. The 10pm snack of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches is awesome. Each night we had relaxing quality sleep in the queen beds. This hotel host many weddings on the weekends so be aware of the crowd in the lobby before reception. The pool was cloudy during our visit so we did not use.

Room Tip: We actually stayed 1 night in another room near the elevators and we never heard elevator noise. Rooms are very quiet.

We stayed at Le Pavillon during Memorial Day weekend. This hotel had many pros and cons:

Pro’s:
- The lobby and dining room (Crystal Room) was absolutely beautiful.
-The staff was extremely well mannered and helpful.
- The buffet had an array of dining choices (try the seafood bisque).
- The rooftop Pool & Jacuzzi was open 24/7 (it stated it closed at 1am but never did). It was nice to go up there late at night for a swim and overlook the city with a cocktail.
- The complimentary PP&J sandwiches!
- They make a delicious Bloody Mary.
- Perfect locations. In walking distant to the French Quarter but far enough away from the noise and mayhem.

Con’s

-The maid service cleaned our room but didn’t change our sheets ( we stayed four nights).
-Our room was extremely small. I’m talking step out of the way so someone can get by kind of small. We asked to change rooms as my boyfriend didn’t fit on the bed and were told they didn’t have any. So, it was an uncomfortable four nights.
-The bathroom was run down and a little dirt (hairs on the toilet seat & tub) when we first checked in. Really disgusting bed spread that we immediately took off as we didn’t even want to sit on it.
-Even though the roof top pool was great – THEY NEVER CLEANED IT!!! You couldn’t see your feet in the shallow end as it was too murky & cloudy. Definitely not clear & clean.
-The weekend we stayed there were two weddings (Fri & Sat) night leaving the dining room and bar off limits for hotel guests. They didn’t give us an alternative dining or bar option at the hotel. I found that in poor taste as we paid money for the use of the crystal room and bar and was not allowed to use it. If you are going to close off parts of a hotel I think you should make alternative arrangements for guests within your hotel.
-They charged us for items taken out of the mini bar that were not. The staff deleted the charges upon complain; but feel as if many people would not bother checking or complaining about it. Check your bill!!

Room Tip: If you book online with a flight & hotel package call the hotel and make sure you have a room with either two beds or a king. We failed to do that and received a TINY room that was as big as a walk-in closet!!!

It was our first trip to New Orleans and my boyfriend, three year old daughter and I stayed at Le Pavillon for 4 days in May and it was a wonderful experience. Our room was spacious and nicely decorated but the bathroom was extremely tiny- the smallest I've ever seen a a hotel but I guess that is consistent with a French hotel.
The staff is top notch- the doorman, the bell man, the waiters, Justin at the concierge desk- I would return if for nothing else the excellent service we got.
The hot chocolate and PBJ sandwiches were also a nice touch. The hotel was walking distance from the French quarter or a $5 cab ride so the location was great. We were able (including our daughter) to sleep uninterrupted.
We stayed on the 6th floor and the carpet (not in our room) was smelly- that and the tiny bathroom were our only negatives. I would stay here again if I return to Nola

Beautiful hotel. Can't understand why people complain that it's too far away from the French Quarter, it's only a short walk, but it can be a long stumble back!

Room, staff, food, ambience, all were excellent. Will be staying there again on my next visit to New Orleans
