Decent place at a decent price. It is an older building with some neat architecture. It is less than a 5 min walk to the quarter, and a block away from trolley stops, so location was good. The room we stayed in was a queen size, paid 159/night. The only option thru the hotel for parking was $32/day for them to valet your car. They did get the car whenever I wanted it. The room was clean, had a bed, chair, armoire with a tv, and very small table, the room was kind of small. No couch, coffee machine. The bathroom was large and nice. The associates there were very friendly and helpful! There is a small bar on ground floor, I believe there was a restaurant but I never saw that it was open.

Excellent location, walking to Jackson Square, Bourbon St, etc. Very clean with such pleasant personnel. The lobby provides a laid back comfortable atmosphere and an elegant good size bar to meet friends and other guests. The owner has a great sense of the arts with the decor, you can tell he's a local.

Room Tip: Rooms are good size, baths are clean with a large shower.

This is a small hotel located downtown and within easy walking distance to the French Quarter. There is no restaurant at this time, but they have a great little bar that saw various levels of activity over the three days I was there in March 2013. The staff is very helpful, and the hotel has more of a modern feel, as opposed to traditional. My room was quite small, but with a good sized bathroom. There was not an in-room safe, which was a surprise. The bed was very comfortable.

My husband and I stayed for 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel lobby and bar area were great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size and the bathroom spacious. The location was perfect, all attractions were within walking distance. And nearby there were several places that served a delicious breakfast.

We recently stayed at the International House and it was simply stand out accommodation. The location was fantastic, a short walk from the French Quarter shops and restaurants, and Beale Street. The room was simple and elegant and had such a great ambience about it. We upgraded for just $10. Bathroom was huge and loved the double shower. Staff were friendly. If you are headed to New Orleans this is the place to stay.

An undiscovered wildflower boutique hotel in New Orleans! And, an added bonus! It is locally owned. If you like hotel chains, go to one. This hotel is for those who like an eclectic mix of art, design and charm. A symbol of the enjoyable experience you will have at this hotel is the photos behind the check-in desk -- Nelson Mandela, JFK, and Steve Jobs. The rooms are individually designed, and each (that I saw) was an experience unto itself (and a charming one). The bar is so seductive, you almost want to stay there instead of exploring NOLA, itself, but not quite! Stay here for a good time!

International House Hotel has the best location. It is walking distance from Bourbon Street, St. Charles Street Car, Jackson Square, etc.

The staff was helpful with booking our swamp tour. The rooms were very clean and comfty. Great hotel bar open late, but no room service. Places with delivery in the area.

The hotel had a great vibe with a chic look. Always fresh ice water with lemon in the lobby. Coffee was always provided in the morning.
