“Great location great hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2014 via mobile

Stayed here for the weekend and the location can't be beat. Even though it's in the middle of the action it's very quiet. The room are cleans and the beds are great. We had a Bloody Mary in the bar downstairs and it was fantastic. A tad pricy at $13 but they garnish it with tons of stuff including shrimp.

Would definitely recommend this hotel. Staff and the the hotel was top notch.

Excellent hotel in the French Quarter. Beautiful rooms newly furnished. The corner rooms are large and comfortable. The staff are extremely pleasant. The restaurant in the lobby called Powdered Sugar is fabulous amazing coffee and equally amazing breakfast with full gluten free options for those that need that. Nice pool and courtyard. This is definitely a good choice of hotel.

One block from both Bourbon and Canal Streets, this two year old Hyatt franchise is extremely clean and we'll maintained. If you're looking for ambiance, however, this is not your place - the decor is very modern. The staff is very pleasant and helpful, the room was spacious, and the meeting facilities comfortable and convenient. There is also a pool in a courtyard on the second floor for an escape from the French Quarter craziness. Would we stay there again? Probably not, but only because we like older hotels with history and atmosphere. Would I recommend it to business travelers and visitors looking for reliable and predictable franchise accommodation? Absolutely.

Room Tip: If they offer an interior room, you should probably take it. There is nothing especially scenic abou...

A pretty standard hotel room that was a nice base in New Orleans being close to the tram line and both sides of the city.
We stayed 3 days and on the second last day, a notice was slipped under our doors telling us a function was happening in the courtyard. Our room's windowed doors opened into the courtyard and it ended up being a properly loud function with the band literally standing at our door. We decided to go out but I'd imagine if you had kids or wanted to sleep that night before 10pm, that might have been an issue so I'd suggest families and business travellers avoid that area as it seems to be an area where a lot of functions are held regularly. I appreciated the warning and it didn't bother me but felt it was a pretty funny stretch for a hotel to put on such a noisy function right outside people's rooms.

Room Tip: avoid the courtyard rooms or rooms that are near it as functions can feature live bands

This property is modern, clean, and has a great staff! It is in the French Quarter and you can walk to many restaurants and entertainment venues. The size of the room was amazing, particularly for the low price that we were charged. Although I was here on business, I plan on returning with my family for a longer stay!

We stayed at this Hyatt for 3 days while we were waiting to board a cruise from NOLA. It was our first trip and choose the Hyatt because it is our hotel chain of choice. The staff was friendly, the room was beautiful and clean. We had a room with a small balcony over-looking Bourbon St. IF you needs quiet room for sleeping DO NOT get a room overlooking the street!!! The nightly party-goers are out until early morning. But, if you want to sit on your balcony and watch the fun...a balcony room is great. They Hyatt is located towards the end of Bourbon St, but is perfect for people watching.

We stayed at the Hyatt in August and had such a great time this hotel was very clean the rooms very nice and we even got a complimentary bottle of wine for our 5 yr anniversary. The staff was super friendly and helpful with all the directions and suggestions. Hotel has 2 restaurants and also has different private entrances which was definitely a plus for us.
