The hotel is located right behind the famous Andrew Jackson statue & St Louis Cathedral. Close to Cafe Du Monde too.
There is no refrigerator in the room. The hotel restaurant has a limited menu. The lobby chairs looked like they needed cleaning where a persons head would touch. The staff was wonderful and aimed to please.

Despite the location right off Bourbon Street, the hotel was an oasis of calm and a nice escape from the chaos outside. That said, it was right in the middle of all the action. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Bourbon Bar was a nice place to start or end your evening. The hotel was clean and rooms were nice. Not overly fancy, and the rooms were small, but very comfortable and with everything you would need. I would stay here again without a doubt.

Room Tip: Rooms with a balcony are much larger, but come with street noise which is high on weekends.

We stayed at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel 4/30 to 5/6 during Jazz Festival. What a beautiful place. We had the Orleans Balcony Loft Suite that faced Orleans & Bourbon Streets. You could see the St. Louis Cathedral from the balcony. The service was outstanding, the doormen were always friendly and ready to help. They opened the door every time you entered or left the hotel. We went down for the buffet breakfast a few times, which was good. It was very expensive, though. The waitresses and waiters at breakfast were just awesome. The bathroom could have been cleaned better each day. I wouldn't say the place was dirty; it was basically clean. The location was awesome. It was really loud outside all night but I the sound was blocked pretty good. I also brought ear plugs so it didn't bother me at all. I would highly recommend this hotel. Oh btw, Jazz Fest was awesome!!

Dear Pauline O,

I was delighted to learn you enjoyed Jazz Fest. New Orleans has many festivals and Jazz Fest is one of the Best! Thank you for your nice comments regarding our doorman and ROUX servers. Certainly staying in a loft suite with a balcony is a unique experience and yes, sometimes earplugs are needed and we have them at the Front Desk. Please let all your friends and family in Boston know we are ready to serve them!

We had high expectations for Bourbon Orleans. It's prime location and stellar reviews gave us reason to hope for a terrific vacation. We spent a full week at the Bourbon Orleans in one of it's loft suites and, quite frankly - were underwhelmed. The room itself was certainly spacious, though dated (some of the furniture had really seen better days - but nothing to be overly concerned about). Our real disappointment was with the service. From the occasional indifference of the front door staff to the consistently mediocre job by housekeeping. We got fresh towels each day - which is great - but there was no evidence our room had seen a broom or a vacuum during out seven days as a guest.

We paid a premium price for our stay at Bourbon Orleans and received average amenities and subpar service. We expected much more.

We stayed in New Orleans in mid April 2014. When we arrived at Bourbon Orleans Hotel we were told that our room wasn't quiet ready and we would have to wait. After a short wait, the front desk staff informed us that they would upgrade our room for the cost of our original room due to the wait. We ended up staying in a suite that faced St. Ann. The room was awesome! It was clean & comfortable. We had so much room! The staff was friendly & helpful during the whole stay. Bourbon Orleans Hotel is within walking distance to everything. We would definitely stay there again!

My sister, friend and I arrived 15 minutes prior to check in. Our room was not ready so they held our luggage and gave us free drink tickets in the Bourbon O Bar. After two drinks and 45 minutes, we were itching to go and explore. The front desk gave us a similar room and our luggage was brought up to us. The hotel is very nice, the people very friendly and our room was what we had hoped for. It was centrally located for all of our tour excursions and Bourbon, Royal and Frenchman Streets.
The only thing I can say that we weren't happy with was this: Each day we left a $20 tip for our house keeping person. Each day the service got worse. As there were three of us, we each used 2 towels per person. The first two days were fine, then we were left with only 3 towels on subsequent days. The last two days we had to call for towels and toilet paper.
Overall, we loved this hotel and will definitely go back.

Room Tip: We had a room on the 6th floor, which was also supposed to be haunted so we were excited about this...

A friend and I visited New Orleans last week for 2 nights. The room wasn't ready when we arrived, so they gave us free drink coupons. Interesting drink menu! Coupons worth $7 and limited to a selection of drinks, so if you order something off the rest of the menu you have to pay the difference. We eventually got the keys (after a few more drink coupons!) and free breakfast coupons, too. We got a room on the courtyard/pool side, which was ideal. We had 2 queen beds - very comfortable! We could not hear any noise from Bourbon Street. We had breakfast the next morning and the waiter, Tim, was great. He remembered everything we ordered by memory. The hotel is only a few blocks from Jackson Square. We didn't have a car and am glad we didn't bother with one on this trip. Most everything is within walking distance. I definitely would stay here on future trips!

Dear Valo194,

I was delighted to read that you had a nice time in one of our courtyard guestrooms. These rooms are truly a taste of the French Quarter as courtyards are such a part of our history. Thank you for your nice comments regarding Tim in ROUX. Come on back and visit us again soon!
