“Location and staff pulls it to a 4.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2014

This hotel has the location for tourists of New Orleans. It is close to everything in the French Quarter but retracted enough to be quiet (at least our room).

On the bright side our room as quiet, overlooking the pool and had what you would need. On the bad side the room was tiny with everything crammed into it including a desk jammed between the bed and the wall. The shower was LOW and as a 6'4 I had to make Circue de Soleil moves to get completely washed. I also has the unappealing lift of the side-corridor which makes it seems less then attractive.

The really selling point was the extremely nice and smiling staff and the location, so with a good price I would go back, otherwise not.

We stayed here for the second weekend of Jazz Fest - I'd been wanting to check this hotel out for a long time - glad we finally did! The hotel has a quiet, stately feel to it. Every member of the staff, from the doormen to the front desk to housekeeping was fantastic - warm, professional, and on top of it.

Or room was both charming and modern. The best part about it was how QUIET it was - I was floored to find out how close we were to Bourbon street, but noise was not an issue at all. Further, our room actually faced the pool on the first floor - but we didn't hear a thing.

Loved that we were able to walk to everything - it was a longish but do-able walk to the fairgrounds (maybe 40 mins?) - and of course the hotel is IN the French Quarter, so you're close to anything you'd feel like doing there. Grabbing a cab was no problem either the couple times we opted to do that.

Would definitely return again - and next time want to check out the hotel bar - sounds like we missed out by not doing so!

Our trip to jazz fest was made even better by our stay at your hotel. Can't beat the location, and helpfulness of staff. The rooms are very European, small, but clean and comfortable. We will be returning next .

This was my first time staying at the Bourbon Orleans, and not my last. It started shaky when my room was not ready on time. They gave me free drinks in the bar while setting up the room. The hotel was in a great location, close to Jackson Square and the river. I recommend getting interior rooms so you don't have a window overlooking the noise on Bourbon Street. The 1 queen room was very clean, but a little small. The service was outstanding from the front desk, to the doormen, the maids to the busman. Breakfast at the adjoining Roux on Orleans was very good. We ate poolside out last day. WE used to stay in the central business district just outside the quarter. But prices have risen there and the extra for the Bourbon Orleans was worth every penny. Very convenient to many restaurants shops, the river front, tour buses, and anything else you desire.

Room Tip: get a room away from Bourbon Street

This was the best and most beautiful hotel I have stayed in. My girlfriend and I stayed here for one night on 4/29-4/30. The service was 5 star from the valet to doormen to front desk. A block away from Bourbon Street and other French Quarter attractions. We were in walking distance of everything and felt very safe around the hotel. The only thing that was keeping me from giving this 5 stars was the bed sheet, kind of dirty. (looked like a foot print on the bed from a shoe) It was no big deal to us but I am sure other visitors would of made a stink about it. We did not get a chance to see the ballroom in the hotel due to a business meeting. The pool with the architectural of the hotel looked amazing. I will stay again, I am looking forward to it.

Historical site smack dab in the middle of the French Quarter. Beautiful décor, great room. Location within walking distance to everything in the Quarter. Traveling alone I felt very safe. My end of April visit provided perfect weather. Would recommend hotel to anyone anywhere while visiting the Big Easy.

Room Tip: My room faced the inner courtyard with the pool view, 6th floor, quiet.
