“Good local, med hotel”
Reviewed November 23, 2013

All and all good enough place. Customer service could use a little brush up. You can tell someone no in a nice way or a cold way. Their no's are way too cold for me. Location is killer. You can enter off of Bourbon Street but the hotel is a good 1/2 block off so access is good yet quite. Nice bar to chill at. No food on Sundays, which was a bummer. Only one elevator was working and the one working was like playing elevator roulette, sometimes it worked well and sometimes it took us for a ride

Was in new orleans for a conference and stayed at this hotel with friends
From the bell men up the staff was fantastic!
I only had one small problem on check in as I arrived first and we had 3 rooms when I gave the girl at front desk my card she told me it declined imagine my panic then I realised that she tried to charge my card for all 3 rooms for the full 6 night stay! ! We sorted this out and check in went fine.
My room was facing the pool which my room mate and I kept promising to sit by we never found the time and when we did on the last day they were digging it up ..you snooze you loose I guess!
Room comfortable clean had to ask for robes
Staff always left the radio on when we came in .. nice we had a nice tv which we never watched too busy on bourbon street! We slept like angels no noise at all
I would stay here again

Great central location in the heart of the French Quarter. Quiet inside but the party and music is just outside the door! The concierge is truly a gem! He was the best guide ever! Spending 10 minutes listening to his stories and ideas is well worth the time as he has extensive knowledge of both the history and lore of much of New Orleans! Room was clean (including air quality which is a buggaboo of mine); but I was a bit surprised to see the amenities like robes and personals were not in the room. The staff was very friendly and helpful though, and it was a good venue. Oh, and try the home made ginger beer (NA) in the bar whilst listening to some jazz in the NO bar!

We had a 5th floor room with a small balcony on a side street off of Bourbon. The external noise is as expected for it's location (it was kinda fun listening to the drunks, not so when they were fighting). The double glazed windows definitely helped reduce the racket. The room was clean and comfortable, but did not have a small fridge as advertised. They are centrally located with Bourbon Street in front of you and St. Louis Cathedral behind you. Parking is very difficult or is expensive but most of the local attractions are within walking distance so I suggest either get rid of your rental car or drop off your bags and park in a garage out of the immediate area and take public transportation back. The hotel was very clean, the staff very courteous and helpful. Make sure you take advantage of the free drink from their bar. They offered a list of real drinks with name brands and not the cheapest things they could (We so totally loved the bartender Steven). Don't wear sandals or flip flops on Bourbon, they wash it every morning and there are puddles, piss, puke, and horse poop.

Room Tip: carefully read each room type as each has its own benefits

We stayed for three nights. It was an amazing experience. Hotel is beautiful, clean, staff is amazing and the location hands down is awesome. We come every year and this by far has been our best hotel experience. We will be returning every year.

Always wanted to stay in a hotel with a balcony overlooking Bourbon St and finally got to for my son's wedding. What an awesome weekend we had. The suite was absolutely beautiful and very spacious. Service was outstanding in every area. All the staff was so friendly and accomodating. The noise on Bourbon Street was pretty loud but that is what you expect on Bourbon Street! The hotel offers ear plugs just for that! Had a great stay and a great weekend. Hope to go back but maybe not stay on the Bourbon side but definitely loved the balcony!

Awesome hotel that isn't too old. Takes up a HUGE CITY BLOCK. My room was on the 5th floor with a balcony. Awesome for fresh air and views. Not awesome if your trying to sleep at three o'clock in the morning. Night clubs are downstairs... Its New Orleans, what do you expect... I'm not complaining. The Hotel Lobby was extremely BEAUTIFUL and the hotel staff were friendly. I would definitely recommend staying here!
