“Great location for your NOLA vacation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

After researching different places to stay while in New Orleans, we picked the Bourbon Orleans. It was the perfect location, the staff was amazing and our loft room was one of the nicest rooms we have stayed in. Highly recommend this hotel.

Very stylish, clean nicely furbished rooms. Nice and very friendly staff. Can't beat the location in French quarter just off Bourbon street. Parking is a hassle though, use valet at hotel , worth the money though it is expensive. Would recommend the hotel to all I know!

My fiancé and I stayed at the Bourbon Orleans on our recent trip from Australia. This historic hotel is beautiful and full of character...as well as a few ghosts apparently. We had a ground floor king room on the pool side of the building. The room was spotless, spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. You simply couldn't ask for a better location - in the famous French Quarter, right off Bourbon St. Despite being so close to the action, our room was really quiet and we couldn't hear a thing. Total value for money. I could not recommend this hotel highly enough!!!

Been to NOLA several times. I've stayed in balcony rooms on Bourbon, Suites in hotels across Canal St., and smaller guest houses around the French Quarter. This first stay at Bourbon Orleans was the best of them all.
The location is prime, right off Bourbon, but far enough down to be noise buffered. Since Orleans Street ends at Royal (not a through street to Chartres or Decatur) traffic past the hotel was minimal. Pirate's Alley is right at Royal, with close easy access to Jackson Sq., French Market, etc. A nice walk straight up Orleans away from the river is the entrance to Armstrong Park, and go a few blocks more and you can visit St, Louis Cemetery #1 at the edge of Treme (only until 3PM daily)
Hotel is very nice, you feel rich and important when the doorman opens the door to the large lobby with comfy sofas and chairs, high ceilings and and open airy feel.
The two elevators are a bit small, and sometimes slow to arrive, but fast between floors. But once your luggage is in your room, take the stairs instead, they're bright and clean.
Rooms are well appointed, most of the standards (TV, wardrobe, desk, coffee maker, hair dryer, etc.) Free wireless had a plenty strong signal, but there's also an ENET cable. A pleasant surprise is the FREE bottled water (I've seen hotels charge ridiculous $$ if you open the bottles they provide a a 'convenience'.)
The room did not have a refrigerator. Other rooms may, I didn't miss it at all.
The Community Coffee Co. coffee served free in the lobby every morning was very good, just grab a cup on your way out. Ice cold water was available later in the day, with a specific 'fruit infusion' each day - lemon, lime, strawberry, etc.
We didn't use the heated saltwater pool, but it was part of the pleasant oasis in the private couryard with umbrella tables and lounge chairs to enjoy.
The front desk is separated from the comfy lobby so can feel a little dark, and crowded if more than two parties are checking in/out at the same time, but the staff is very nice and friendly, as was pretty much everyone we met in NOLA (except one crabby waitress who seemed in desperate need of a cocktail, a cigarette, or both.)
Bottom line, the price is low for the experience you get when staying at the Bourbon Orleans. This will be the hotel I choose from now on.

For a guy alone spending a few days in town the Bourbon Orleans provided an almost perfect place to stay. The only downside was that the room smelled of disinfectant when I arrived. The odor cleared quickly once the air was turned on and the room was clean and neat. It had all the basics and the bed was quite comfortable. The O-Bar near the lobby served good beer on tap but never seemed very busy. The staff was quite accommodating and were very willing to be helpful when questions came up. No real complaints.

Our reception took place at the Bourbon Orleans and we wanted to share our spectacular experience with you!

As a bride, you expect to experience moments of stress involved with planning a wedding. From the beginning the Bourbon Orleans made every step of the way as easy as possible. The entire staff, from the coordinator to the valet service, was professional, attentive, extremely polite, and willing to bend over backwards to make you happy. Our coordinator helped our vision become a reality in every way possible and more. The day of our wedding, every staff member knew who we were and offered to help in any way possible so that we would nothing but happiness. We even had a few special requests and had outside vendors perfectly coordinated by their special events staff. The food was simply amazing. We received countless compliments from our guests and some even requested recipes.

The bar tenders did not leave your drink wanting and always made sure to supply my husband and I with a drink whenever we walked by. At one point in the evening, our coordinated noticed I was shifting from one foot to the other and immediately got flip flops and took my shoes. She helped with the timing of events during the reception and did not rush us at all. As we walked into our suite at the end of the evening, the staff had organized a buffet of food from the reception with a bottle of champagne. Even the arduous task of picking up the decorations and gifts was taken care of by the Bourbon Orleans. The room was beautiful and comfortable and quiet even though it was overlooking Bourbon Street.

We cannot say enough about the Bourbon Orleans and their staff. They helped create a night we will never forget. My fairy tale wedding came true. We recommend the Bourbon Orleans to everyone no matter what the occasion or the event, especially for weddings.

This hotel is in an excellent location in the French Quarter. It is close to good restaurants, Jackson Square and Bourbon street. The doors are opened for you by friendly employees and they are helpful with directions. The check in process is easy. The rooms are clean and quiet. The courtyard with the pool is nice and relaxing. The parking is expensive, but not anymore than
other hotels in the area. Ghost tours go thru the hotel and it has an interesting past. I enjoyed the
coffee set out in the lobby in the morning and fresh water upon arrival.

Room Tip: Our room was nice but small. I would check next time for a larger room.
