“Excellent Hotel In Every Way!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2012

My niece and I had a balcony room on the St. Anne street side near Bourbon. While there is noise from Bourbon St virtually all night, there is an alarm clock with an iPod dock so I could drown it out with soothing music and we slept just fine. You get used to the noise after the first night, anyway. I could hear nothing from any of the rooms around us. Beautiful hotel with clean, well thought-out, rooms. Great showers.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Free water and coffee in the lobby every morning.

Located in the heart of the French Quarter with all the bars and hotels very walkable. Easy walk to Frenchmen Street for music. Highly recommended.

my daughters and i spent the weekend in new orleans last weekend, girls time. the room was immaculate and very spacious. we were on the first floor coutyard facing the pool.just lovely!!!.
the best part of the weekend was the staff's recommendations on where to eat and very helpful, where NOT to eat.... the consierge was very knowledgeable with the biggest rolodex of info i've ever seen. our room was very quiet and the location to all the action on bourbon street was only 1/2 block away thanks again to everyone who made our trip fun...

We stayed at The Bourbon Orleans for a quick getaway. We had rooms facing the interior courtyard so heard no or very little noise from the streets. Our windows did not open, however. We did hear noise from the hallway right outside our door as a young men pounded on the door across from our door several times during Saturday night. We finally called the front desk and ask for someone to come up and speak to the occupants. We obviously did not know how many were suppose to be staying in the room. Someone from the staff did come up to speak to the men and resolved the situation after we had already spoken to their various visitors about the knocking and loud cell phone calls 2 or 3 times when they were in the hallway.
In some hotels where we have stayed, the person trying to enter the elevator area has to show a room key. Bourbon Orleans has no such requirement. Since the hotel is located "in the heart" of The French Quarter, such a requirement might be a good idea. When we mentioned it to the two ladies on the front desk the next morning, they stated that they pretty much knew by sight everyone staying at the hotel. Doubtful!
The service at the hotel was good from some employees and not good from others. I had to interrupt a personal conversation of a couple of front desk employees to ask a question.
Also - be aware, taxis are sometimes hard to get from this hotel. This might be due to the fact that the hotel is on a street that does not continue through. We had to walk down Royal Street a considerable length several times over the 4 day period to get a taxi.
The strong points of the hotel are the location and nice, clean rooms.

Room Tip: Ask for a room where a door to the outside or a window opens if fresh air is important to you. Ask a...

My wife and I checked in on halloween night and had a room on Orleans about 3 rooms from Bourbon. Great location to everything. The hotel staff was great. Quick and easy check in. The bell men were nice and very helpful as was the valet service. We got the breakfast special and ate at the Roux (see review). We got the 2 story king balcony suite which was very large and roomy. The bed was cozy and the room was appointed. Maid service was fast and professional.
The only down fall to our stay was the 2 men staying next to us. They were rather loud and obnoxious and one of the men was trying to perform a lewd act on the balcony, but it was New Orleans on halloween.
All in all would recommend this hotel for the location, room, service and staff.

Room Tip: The French Quarter is very loud and the closer you stay to Bourbon the louder it gets and the later...

This hotel was in a great location and close to many attractions. The rooms were very comfortable and cozy....recently updated. We enjoyed a very nice breakfast in the dining room and would definitely stay here again.

The location is perfect. Right on Bourbon St, the hub of the French Quarter. You walk into this hotel and think "wow, how did we afford this", but somehow we got a fantastic rate on octopus.com i think it was. The hotel is first class. The room was fantastic. We paid a little extra and got the King room. It overllooked the pool , the bathroom was great, the whole place was spotless.

And its location is perfect on Bourbon St. its at the top, one small block away from where the action starts. It means the hotel is quiet.. no noise at all! And breakfast was included as well! Fantastic hotel.

Room Tip: We chose bottom floor just so we didnt have to use the lift. Also if you can afford an extra $40, ge...

From the time the parking valet took our car until he returned it two days later, we had a wonderful time at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel. The front desk personnel was very nice and helpful and our room was very nice with a balcony overlooking the street. Unfortunately, the weather turned very chilly and we were not able to sit out there and people-watch, but we did stand out there every once in a while. The hotel is centrally located; just near everything. We were on a bed and breakfast package and the breakfast was very good. The heated pool area is beautiful in a courtyard. Can't say enough nice things about the hotel. I even saw on the Price is Right tv game show, that a stay at this hotel was given in one of their showcases. It certainly did not disappoint. Would definitely stay again if in the New Orleans area.

Room Tip: Rooms with balconies are great.
