“Wonderful Stay!”
Reviewed October 4, 2012

We spent a wonderful repeat visit at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel & had a great time as always. The breakfast buffet is always delicious & the piano bar is a fun way to spend time. The staff is always very friendly & the location is perfect for walking to everything we enjoy doing in the French Quarter. Always a great place to stay!

Frist time in New Orleans and I stayed at the Bourbon Orleans. My fiance had been to New Orleans several times, and normally stayed at another hotel. He had to admit the location was prime for our visit and the the rooms were actually bigger than the hotel he normally has. The only downside - if you want quiet - do not stay on the Bourbon St side (yes it was loud on a Wednesday night). We were only staying one night, so the noise was not a big factor to us.
Great price, great service, and breakfast was delicious too. I would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms AWAY from Bourbon Street if you want some quiet time.

The customer service was FABULOUS except the housekeeping staff (whom we never met personally but who left used rags in our room, hair in the toilet, etc). HOWEVER...if you are looking to get even 15 minutes (and I am not exaggerating) sleep, stay somewhere else. We had a balcony room and it was constantly loud, day and night. There was traffic noise on the street below us, delivery trucks in the pre-dawn hours that seemed to arrive just as the screaming patrons settled into their rooms from the streets and hallways (we had to call security every night between 2-4am because of loud guests in the hallway). So, while it is an amazing location if you want to stay in the French Quarter (it's one-half block from Bourbon Street) and it's a nice property with a large room and great balcony overlooking the street...if you are looking to rest at all? Stay somewhere else. If you want the constant 24/7 French Quarter atmosphere in an upscale hotel for the area, this is the place.

Room Tip: Balcony rooms were really really loud from street noise and hallway noise.

We loved the location, comfortable and clean room, and wonderful staff, especially the valet staff. Breakfast, however, was a fiasco twice in a row. Although the food that was available was excellent, the kitchen and restaurant managers need refresher courses in time managment and ordering. There was a line each morning to be seated. On our first day there, we saw a group leave because they could not get served. This was repeated on the second day, as well. There was a long wait time to be seated, then up to 30 minutes passed before patrons were even acknowledged. MANY menu items were not available. A wait person might carry out a plate of toast, but not have in his/her free hand a coffee pot or order tablet, etc. This started each day with frustration for all involved. Perhaps a review of the restaurant in general would be helpful. It was very disappointing considering the prices and the excellence of the rest of the hotel.

We spent a great 3 days in New Orleans and I am glad we chose this Hotel. The staff were excellent in everything that we asked of them. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. We had a room overlooking the pool and we couldn't hear any of the noise from Bourbon street. The breakfast in the morning, although expensive was delicious, especially the eggs benedict. Terry in the bar is a laugh a minute and make the best Hurricane in N'Orleans.
If we return to N'Orleans we will definitely stay here and would have no problem in recommending this hotel to our family and friends.
Location was excellent....door from bar leads onto Bourbon Street, lower end while front Door is 2 mins walk from Jackson Square.

Super location....in the middle of the French Quarter. Great Staff...always
pleasant with a smile.
Very clean facility.....the rooms are fresh.
Great place to stay.
I lived in New Orleans for many years back in the 1960's and 1970's and the Bourbon Orleans not only survived over the years....it thrived.
Oh yea......I'll be back.

We stayed here for our honeymoon before we left for our cruise. The staff were so friendly! Caleb (I didn't get his last name) and Louis Miller are outstanding employees. They made us feel welcome every time we walked in the door. The room was beautiful and clean. The location is great, we walked everywhere. I can't wait to come back and visit : ) Go Saints : )
