Spent 5 nights in a room with a balcony facing Orleans Street, loved it! The noise from Bourbon Street added to the experience without being too noisy. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. There were a couple of problems with housekeeping staff (discovered that one bed did not have a top sheet when getting into bed the first night, no replenishment of cups and coffee the first day) but they were taken care of when we left a note. Ate in the hotel restaurant one night, food was delicious and relatively inexpensive. The bar was clean and complimentary drinks provided on check-in were great!! Also got discount from hotel on admission to Mardi Gras World. Location was fantastic, one block from Jackson Square and two blocks from the streetcar station. Great visit and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone!!

Room Tip: Definitely get a balcony room on Bourbon or Orleans if you want the real taste of Bourbon Street!

I stayed at the Bourbon Orleans hotel for a business meeting and really enjoyed the stay! It is in the heart of the French Quarter (only 2 blocks from Cafe DuMonde!) and was such a lovely respite from the action outside. The rooms are clean and very nice - including the walk-in shower. The entire staff at the hotel were so friendly and helpful - and made me feel very welcomed. The rooms either face the lovely inner area where the pool is at the 1st level or the outer French Quarter. I tried hors d'oeuvres from the restaurant - and they were fabulous! Our meetings included breakfast and lunch - which were also wonderful. It is a great place if you want to be in the heart of the activity!

Room Tip: Rooms facing the inner courtyard are quieter than the rooms facing the streets - where all the activity in the French Quarter is happening.

This is my favorite hotel to stay in when coming to New Orleans. Did not like that they decided to tear the entire carpet out of the 6th floor at 7 in the morning. I got no sleep due to the hammering right outside our door and nearly pierced my foot with all the loose nails. Put a damper on our last day!!

The location makes visiting NOLA easy. The French Quarter is all in walking distance. All 3 trolley stops are in walking distance so seeing all of N.O. is easy. We had a 1st floor room facing the courtyard pool. This was perfect. After a night of frolicking on Bourbon you could finish your last drink at a table next to the pool before hitting the pillow. The courtyard rooms are quiet and completely void of the Bourbon St. noise. The rooms were clean, well decorated and good sized for 3 adults. We had 2 double beds. The beds and bedding was nice! The bathroom is large and the black marble and granite feels and looks good. Our room did not get made up one morning but a quick comment to the front desk on our way out for lunch corrected this immediately. ( we usually had do not disturb signs on the door until 11am everyday).
The front desk was always accommodating and the Concierge was a great asset. His recommendations on directions, food and tours was spot on every time. The Doormen and Bellhops were very good and made check in, checkout and bag storage on our last day easy.
We have no complaints about our stay at the Bourbon Orleans and will stay again. The location, accommodations and and friendliness of the staff make it worth the price.

Room Tip: Get a Courtyard room facing the pool to avoid the Bourbon St. noise. The 1st floor is great because you can walk right out to the pool from your room.
