Local color. It's a "hole-in-the-wall" out of the way place, but the ribs and mac&cheese were good. As far as service, you order at a counter and a food runner brings food. Service people that we came into contact with - no personality.

This is the place for BBQ in New Orleans. A little off the beaten path in Bywater, this "hole in the wall" (in the best sense) is worth the trip. The meat is slow cooked and falls off the bone, with great smoky flavors. The sides are very basic, as you would expect in a real BBQ restaurant. When you are done having your fill, walk down the street to Bacchanal wine bar for a complete "local" evening experience.

This was TERRIBLE!! I had just left Memphis and had the BEST BBQ EVER...this was total garbage. The pulled pork and beef brisket were dry and had no flavor. The mac and cheese was dry and old. Wouldn't suggest anyone go here for BBQ. NASTY NASTY

Heard about this from a few locals and decided to try it out. While it was about a 15-minute cab ride from the heart of the Quarter, it was worth it. Note: our concierge said we could take the bus there, which would put us 2-3 blocks from the restaurant but discouraged us from doing that at night. neighborhood is a bit rough. Ribs were outstanding: succulent, just-right seasoning, meaty, no sauce required. Chicken had a great smoke and paired well with the tomato-based sauce. Sausage tasted homemade and came with a kicked up mustard. German potato salad was bland but beans were creamy and fresh. Tomato-onion dressing on the salad was unique. Best BBQ we've had in a while!

The food was great! Only downside wasthe very limited indoor seating. We ended up outside and that would gave been fine if we werent over run by flies! Unfirtunately they ruined a delicious meal!
