Its also a Hookah bar, so may not be appropriate for kids. We did not know that but they accommodated us at the corner table very near the outside of the hotel and that was okay as there was absolutely no smoke there. Hey it's New Orleans and there was more smoking outside on the streets! The food was fantastic and the service was great. The servers were amazing too! Would definitely go again!

If you're not a late-night person and want an excellent meal with inexpensive drinks and friendly service without a huge crowd, try the Attiki. Although we don't smoke, the hookas didn't cause a problem at all. The hummus is the absolute best we've every had, and the warm pita triangles were obviously hand-made as well and so light I felt like they might float off the plate. The Caesar salad is huge and equally tasty. If you add a wrap, there is far too much food but a yummy carry-out. Prices are excellent, and so is the service.

We had fried cheese to start followed by a gyro wrap and grilled chicken wrap. We swapped out the French fries for tabouli at an up-charge of $3 but worth it. Shared baklava for desert on two glasses of wine. Good service, good food, excluding tip - $49. Have eaten there several times so obviously like it. The entrees were a little expensive, over $20 each.

We got into town hungry, and found the dish we wanted was no longer served where we found it last. So, since we were close enough to walk, we went to Attiki. Again, it was a good choice.

For starters, we got as good a Bloody Mary as you will find in New Orleans for $5. Additionally, the waiter gave us all kinds of inside information about the upcoming festival, and was very attentive to our every need. That, however, was not the best part. The best part was the food.

Now, we like Mona's down on Frenchman Street for Middle Eastern food, too, but this place has just moved into the top spot. It's cleaner, closer to the action, and they have everything you need to satisfy your falafel hunger.

We got there a little late for lunch, so we could not order a combo plate. We had to order our dinner off the appetizer menu, and I am glad we did. We spent about the same amount of money, but we only got what we wanted - falafel, hummus, and baba ganouj - (everyone spells it differently, but the spelling isn't as important as the taste). The falafel were perfect, and served with a yogurt sauce that had dill pickles in it. Yummy! The hummus was smooth, creamy, and perfectly seasoned. The baba ganouj was excellent, too. All served with pita bread that was a light and fresh as any I'd ever eaten. The meal was divine!

When in New Orleans, you need to find this place. It's not far from Bourbon Street, and it's not far from Cafe Du Monde. Get over there and have some of the best middle eastern food you will ever eat anywhere, and, while you are there, have a Bloody Mary. I guarantee you will thank me for writing this review, and yourself for reading it. Attiki will not be New Orlean's best kept secret for long.

Amazing food and great service. We went for a late lunch twice at Attiki and loved it both times. The Babaganoush is amazing and has a great spicy kick. I can't speak for any of the large plates because we ordered a bunch of small plates both times but if they are anything like the quality of the small plates, you'll be very pleased.
