Jackie, Ann, Amanda, and Eddie are the bestest in the world. We dine there as much as possible because of them.

“Wonderful Food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 24, 2012

A little out of the way - just before Garden District - but the food, atmosphere, and prices are excellent. A must for dining while in New Orleans.. be sure & have their Rotissierre Chicken, corn grits, and bread pudding.

“Generous portions and seasoned to perfection”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 7, 2012

The roasted corn grits are so good you will dream about them when you get home. Really. The roasted chicken was seasoned and soooo juicy. But there were large amounts of to go boxes to take home and we enjoyed them the next day. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

“Zea's New Orleans, 1525 St. Charles Ave. not up to Zea's other locations”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 1, 2012

We have been to Zea's New Orleans, St. Charles Ave. location on many occasions due to it's proximity to a relative's home. This location is in a good hotel/Streetcar area for tourists. Unlike Zea's other locations we have frequented (Harahan, a suburb & Covington, a commuter community north of N.O.), the St. Charles Ave. location has been disappointing most times. The service is only perfunctory. The food prep has been careless. For example, their huge & potentially wonderful spinach salad comes with a great pepper/sweet/vinegar dressing, includes sundried tomatoes (along with pecans & other delicious things) mixed into the fresh leaves & is topped with bleu cheese. Last week in New Orleans the dressing ingredients had not been blended so that I could see that one of the ingredients was pepper jelly - chunks of it. (I was glad to have a hint as to how it was made, but it deminished the flavor.) In addition the vinegar wasn't mixed into the dressing but instead was only on one small section of the salad as was a hastily thrown-on dollop of sundried tomatoes. The cheese was not bleu & was bitter with no other flavor.
However, at the same time, my husband had a fabulous pasta/cream/shrimp dish.
The menu is terrific. Too bad they are so inconsistant at this one location where tourists would go.
