Having just landed in New Orleans, my friends took me to this establishment which has a true deep south approach to hospitality. Greeted as soon as we entered the restaurant., attentive service, good choice of food, along with variety and the menu list was good as well. The only problem that for Mardi Gras it wasnt very busy, it meant the loud groups could be heard all over the restaurant. When the food turned up in good time the portions were of a good size so we all went away satisfied. This place doesnt have the wow factor and for a New Orleans restaurant quite pricey but enjoyable.

Dinner at One in the Riverbend area of New Orleans. Limited seating so make reservations. Very Bleu cheesey. Good if you are a fan of Bleu cheese. Beet salad overwhelms with the dressing unless you mix in the goat cheese croutons. Then it is very tasty. I had the fish (sole) special. Excellent. Wife had Sashimi Tuna (large fresh portion) & Coq Au Vin (there take was crispy drumstick). Delicious & a ample portion. One of the Owners hosting, the other was the Exec Chef. Also have a neat Kitchen Bar where you can eat & watch them cook. Fun place.

We found this great little restaurant 3 years ago when our daughter moved to NOLA. She had heard it was good, and asked us to take her there back when. We have never been disappointed in the quality or service. Our favorite appetizers are the crab cakes which are made without breading. They are sweet and succulent and make your taste buds happy, especially when served with fried merliton. The seafood is always done in a savory creative way and they are careful with diet restrictions such as gluten free. They know rice flour works just as well, or better as traditional wheat flour!
I completely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great culinary experience without the tourist trap feel.

This is certainly one of the best restaurants in the Riverbend area, and one of our favorite restaurants in the entire New Orleans area. We are regular, repeat customers. The menu includes a number of excellent appetizers, including the char-grilled oysters, scallops, crab cakes, and liver and mushroom pate. Top entree choices include the cochon de lait, Gulf fish of the day, and the beef tenderloin. When available as a special, the soft shell crab is another outstanding choice. The restaurant offers a number of very good desserts, but the panna cotta is truly exceptional and not to be missed.
