I love New Orleans and always have, but my husband had never been. So, I was very careful when I chose where we would stay for his first visit. He had also never stayed in a B&B before. Thanks to Mary and Hugh at Banana Courtyard, my husband can't wait to go back to New Orleans and never wants to stay in a chain hotel again.
We went to celebrate our anniversary and got the Romance package. Mary & Hugh did everything possible to make our trip fantastic! I requested a dessert wine instead of champagne in the room and Mary got us a great eiswein. Every restaurant where they made reservations for us knew that it was our anniversary and congratulated us. Their advice on where to eat and what to do was always spot on.
The house is beaitiful and every little corner contains something interesting. The room (Cajun Quarters) was lovely and comfortable. It was great to have a cup of coffee on the balcony every morning surrounded by the lush plants. Breakfast was great with some local treats that we hadn't tried before.
It's obvious that the Ramseys love New Orleans and love what they do! I would recommend Banana Courtyard to anyone going to New Orleans, especially first timers. Mary and Hugh will provide you with all the information to get the most out of your trip whatever your tastes.
