We were recommended to come here by our tour guide from a bike company - glad we made the effort - great service and an interesting, tasty breakfast menu.

“Go hungry & get the big plates...”
Reviewed August 2, 2014

I ordered the Jewish Coonass - eggs how you want 'em, on a bed of spinach, over potato latkes, smothered in crawfish etouffe'. Outstanding! The eggs were just right, the spinach was just right, the latkes remained just the right amount of crisp throughout, and the etouffe' has just the right amount of spicy richness. I'm a native and a decent cook myself - I give 'em a big thumbs up.

There are other variations on big plates - when there are items like this on the menu, why order a standard breakfast?

Gigi is one of the servers in the morning, I didn't catch the name of the other, Jadda is the proprietor - they are all friendly, personable, charming-quirky, and lovely folks - they all worked as a tag team to take the order, keep the coffee cup filled, and get the food out pronto...Hat tip!

HIghly recommended, this is gonna be a regular...

“Stopped for a beer - ended up staying much longer and had lunch”
Reviewed July 7, 2014

We were wandering around Frenchman and were in need of some light refreshment and stopped at Horn's eatery. The waiter was positively charming - and we ordered beers. We found it so comfortable and welcoming we stayed longer and had lunch. We ordered sandwiches and they were huge and delicious.
Talking to the waiter we found out that this is a recently opened restaurant - the owner who was present and the time and a most charming woman - has another in the city. Presumably as it is new, there are no other reviews posted yet. An extremely pleasant lunch and a short walk back to the street car. Worth searching out.
