Stayed there on a timeshare exchange. The rooms are a bit tired but the location is excellent. There was painting outside which started at 7.30am which was in inconsiderate. We did not need much service but staff were friendly and efficient. If you don't expect too much you will enjoy your stay simply because the location a block away from the French Quarter is excellent

We were here for Southern Decadence, so the location was perfect for us. However we've stayed at nicer places...
The bed was not very comfortable; in fact by day 5 we were wishing we were home! The weather was terrible the week we were here so we ended up spending more time than normal in the room. The room we had was in need of a make over. The couches were lumpy and uncomfortable, bedroom was cramped (can only get into bed from one side - the other has to crawl over if you want to get out). The permanent "whirlpool out of order" let us know they didn't plan to fix or replace anything. Toilet was so cramped you literally had to turn sideways on it to sit! TV from the 80's but the cable did work! Nice balcony overlooking the pool but renovations going on in the courtyard kept us from using any outdoor amenities. It looked reasonably clean but the mouse I saw zipping across the room said otherwise (we were on the second floor).

Chateau Orleans had an excellent location. Daily maid service was provided. Our 1-bedroom unit (A-3) was spacious & clean. It was poolside and convenient to ice machine and guest washer/dryer. Coffee available each morning. Weekends also had bloddy marys and continental breakfast. Paul and Susie were very helpful. Robert was very pleasant. We would stay here again.

14th time to new orleans since 1999. We have stayed in 14 differant places from the nicest hotel to the crappiest dump. The chateau orleans wasn't the fanciest or newest, but as far as french quarter lodging goes, it was awesome. We stayed for 7 nights and had a great time. Both my wife and i would reccomend it to anyone who is going to the quarter to relax and have fun. Easy parking, interesting neighborhood, off the beaten path, not for the naive teetotaller. Have a bunch of drinks, meet new people, enjoy the best city in the world!

My girlfriends and I had read mixed reviews so we were nervous about our decision to stay at the Chateau Orleans. I am glad that we did not change our plans because it was great! Our room was not ready when we arrived (10am), but our luggage was safely held and after lunch we found all of our luggage neatly placed in our condo. The rooms were large, the beds were comfortable and the linens were changed daily. A full kitchen was in the living area as well as a fold out couch bed. We had five people in the condo and we were completely comfortable. The location (Burgundy and Bienville) is perfect for exploring the city and enjoying the night life. It can be loud at night, but that is going to happen anywhere in the French Quarter. I am not sure why people in other reviews complain about parking. There is a HUGE garage on the same block (literally behind the Chateau Orleans) and they charge reasonable prices for overnight parking. There is also a loading/ unloading area specifically for the Bourbon Orleans. I would absolutely recommend staying here next time you visit NOLA!!

PS) They also offer free donuts and bloody marys (poolside) on the weekends.
