As an aficionado of NOLA, Vieux Carre, and the food offerings, very relieved to find great food served well and a local beer (and other beverages of choice) at lunch or dinner. From one aspect you sense the corporate food service efficiency until you actually eat and enjoy. Starting with a dozen Oysters and an Abita beer, it was on! If there was a smallish oyster, they put two in that spot! The fried Oysters and fried shrimp just perfect - not too much breading and perfect spicing. Po Boys done well with fresh bread and lettuce and overflowing with choices of shrimp, Oysters, etc. Service well handled, not overbearing and attentive to the next Abita beer necessity! Yes! Food and drinks. The way it should be in NOLA.

Don't knockem until you try them.
They were light and were complimented by the ramoulade sauce. My dad and I shared a seafood platter which included fried shrimp, fried fish, and fried oysters. Perfectly fried, not too hard, not too soft...just right. The restaurant exemplified the New Orlean's atmosphere: bright, colorful pictures, funny signs and outstanding service providers.
I highly recommend this delicious restaurant!

We went to a bunch of restaurants in NOLA and had oysters everywhere - this place, although it looks cheesy and touristy - had the best oysters, hands down.
Cheap as hell.
Drinks are great (and cheap as well)

Went back the next day for more!

If your a non-traditional cake eater please give these crab cakes an opportunity to change your mind. We definitely liked the grilled alligator over the fried. Mas tasty!!!!
