Right next to the funky pirate. Don't let worries about competing sounds keep you from going in, once the band gets started it wraps around you like a huge hug from your wacky uncle. Go, go go.

Forget the rock bands and pop bands elsewhere on Bourbon Street. If you want to hear the best that New Orleans has to offer in traditional jazz, this is the place. It's small and cramped--get there early to get a good seat (or any seat for that matter). The service is good. The music is as good as it gets. The atmosphere is perfect and the listening experience is intimate. The musicians are the best in the city and friendly. There is no cover charge and the drinks are reasonable.

One of the best places in New Orleans to hear Traditional Dixieland Jazz - the old Jazz which was born in New Orleans. The best musicians in the city perform here and you will love the atmosphere. Good drinks and great staff. Bourbon Street is pretty awful for music unless you want to hear Brick House, but Fritzels does not disappoint, you will love it. Lively tunes from a great band.

You gotta love Frizel's Jazz Club. The in house band always puts on a great show. Old NOLA style jazz and Dixieland. Horn, piano, guitar and drums. They can rock it out, swing it hard and play it cool too. It's a small club. You have to sometimes squeeze in but it is so worth it. Wait staff is very attentive. Not really alot of Jazz left on Bourbon St but this is one of the fun places to go.

With so many new kinds of loud music in the quarter it was a pleasure to find Fritzel's. The music starts at 9 and for a drink or two you can stay and hear quality jazz. Left Preservation hall after the one set I paid for and found Fritzel's. A bit cramped but that is part of what makes it fun. NO Dancing!!
