Description: Cochon captures the true essence of Cajun and Southern cooking. Chefs Donald Link and Stephen Stryjewski bring their love for southern Louisiana foods to every plate at Cochon. Donald's experience cooking with his family at their homes in Crowley and Rayne allow guests to share in his passion for real country and home cooking. The food is focused and simple, featuring roasted meats with natural sauces, homemade sausages, and fresh local seafood. The menu compliments the rustic, yet contemporary setting of the dining room. The Bar at Cochon features signature cocktails as well as the classic libations of New Orleans. A diverse beer selection with an emphasis on local micro-brews offers a cool contrast with the sometimes spicy cuisine.

the place is small but was full of people, the reason was they make wonderful sandwiches. I took a perk belly sandwich and it was very tasty. My colleagues also took sides dishes that looked tasty and abundant

“Reports of quality are true”
Reviewed October 2, 2013

The nondescript building hides a first class restaurant with little to dislike. Our party had several appetizers and main dishes. All were prepared well and recommended the restaurant quality. The service was attentive. They had several off menu specials that added to the experience.

“So delish”

This was my third visit and it was as delicious as the first two times. I had the brisket sliders and will get them every time on future visits. The Mac and cheese is also a treat. My partner had the pig burger and left none to share. Small and crowded and often a wait is involved. Relax and chat up someone in line. Enjoy.

“Got a tip to eat cheap”
Reviewed September 29, 2013

Was on a business trip and didn't wish to spend too much cash. We had a couple of beers and a great sandwich. We would go to find this place again.. We had this recommendation of a staff member @ the hotel .... It took a while to find it and it was busy so you might need to go at the right time - we where lucky and the queue was small - you might struggle if you have a big group.

Go back if it's full as it's worth the wait

“great place...”

Stopped by Cochon Butcher for lunch while on vacation in NOLA & loved it. We had the Cuban, the Pork Belly & the Gambino, with pancetta mac & cheese on the side. Everything was delicious. The mixed drinks are really good as well.
