“Friendly and Cozy B&B in Walking Distance to Great Neighborhoods”
Reviewed February 17, 2014

I stayed in the Grand Suite with my boyfriend for 4 nights. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very spacious, with a sitting room and private bathroom. It was clean, unique, and cozy. The B&B is in the Marigny, a great neighborhood of New Orleans! It is also walking distance to the French Quarter. If you are ambitious, you can walk to the Bywater or Central Business District as well. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a fun and unique experience in New Orleans!!

My fiancé and I stayed here 3 nights before our Caribbean cruise. What a cozy house! Plenty of space and privacy. Our hosts were fantastic!
We had a yummy breakfast each morning and David and Schuyler anticipated our needs/wants so we were really comfortable. They also had great recommendations for places to eat, shop or adventure. They were readily available to answer questions and were very cool to hang out with in the morning.
We easily found our way around town and back to our "home". This bed and breakfast is walking distance from it all! If we stay in new Orleans in the future, this is the place!

The hosts we super friendly, and check on us quite often to make sure we were doing well there. We will definitely be back in the future. Thank you Dave and Schuyler for your hospitality. Located in the Faubourg Marigny area which in itself has a really interesting history and felt safe to walk around at night while still just a few minutes walk from Bourbon St and the French Quarter. Our first visit to NOLA and so glad we chose accommodation outside of the busy noisy FQ giving us a nice quiet nights sleep but still close enough to walk there anytime. We stayed in the Grand Suite which was very comfortable and also had a cosy little sitting room giving us plenty of space. The bed was very comfortable, the room was nicely appointed, clean and felt inviting with the Host always available and willing to have a chat and accommodate any needs. Lots of suggestions for local eating and entertainment. Food was plentiful with choices for most eating requirements and tea and coffee always available. I would love to stay here again and would be happy to recommend it to anyone I know.

We stayed here with a group of friends over Thanksgiving weekend in 2013. It was perfect for our needs. The hosts were wonderful and were available when we needed them without being intrusive. Since our group had all three rooms it was almost like renting a vacation house with the benefit of having two locals at your disposal to give recommendations of what to see and to clean up the breakfast dishes for you.

We parked the car and walked everywhere. The house is ideally situated in between the Quarter and the Frenchman Street area - we divided our time equally between the two. NoLa has so many great places to eat/drink/hear music you really can't go wrong.

My husband and I had the upstairs room and it was huge - almost as big as our apartment at home. There was a separate seating area and even though the bathroom does not have a tub it was more than adequate for our needs. Everything was clean and the decor reflected the interests of the owners who obviously love to travel. The only drawback to the upper floor is that the ceilings are sloped on one side and my 6' - 6" husband hit his head a couple times, but he learned quickly :).

I would not hesitate to stay here again and can't wait to get back to New Orleans!

Room Tip: All of the rooms are nice but I am guessing that the upstairs room is the most quiet.

We are locals that were looking for a weekend away from the kids-Chez Palmiers was the perfect place. David and Schuyler were great hosts and even pointed us to some restaurants we weren't familiar with but thoroughly enjoyed. My husband and I can't wait to stay here again.

Schuyler and David are the perfect hosts - personable, accommodating, and knowledgeable about New Orleans. We have visited New Orleans many times and this was our first stay here. We stayed in the Grand Suite on the first floor and had plenty of room. The breakfasts were delicious -- pastries, fresh fruit, coffee/tea, and more. The B&B is located within walking distance of the French Quarter and Marigny, and lots of restaurants and shops are nearby so you don't need to rent a car. However, if you are heading towards City Park (we had tickets to Voodoo Fest), I recommend renting a bike or taking a cab. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and will come back to Chez Palmiers!

Room Tip: Stay in the Grand Suite -- feels like you're staying in a little apartment.
