Fun street full of music, clubs and eateries, and packed with people. Very poor food choices. Cockroaches in restaurant we ate at. Not worth anything but a drink to enjoy the entertainment.

Dinner and drinks before the show at Snug Harbor. Make sure to go before the show and get dining reservations if you want to eat. Food was ok. Drinks great. Music great. Charmaine Nevell and gang were wonderful. Could have done without the Audience members from California being brought onstage to sing (sorta). The trombone player brought in for the beginning was Awesome!

Several people recommended that we visit this street during our stay at New Orleans and we were not disappointed! After an epic night on Bourbon Street, we decided to take it down a notch and explore the live music on Frenchman Street. Although we found it hard to find, there were lots of bars and restaurants to choose from with live music spilling onto the streets. A fab place to go for a break from the crowds and to listen to some great live music.

This street was a lot of fun on Halloween night. Our hotel desk clerk suggested we check it out so we went here before going to Bourbon St. Frenchmen St might have been a little less crazy, but no my much. Great music and fun!!

It is a very lively street, like Bourbon St, with lots of bars. Definitely for more adult crowds, not necessarily family friendly. But if not with children, it will be a nice street to visit.

The place to be if you want to hear live music in New Orleans right now. Far better than Bourbon Street. Many of the clubs are small and it gets very crowded very fast but definitely worth a trip

Frenchman on Halloween is a mad house. Its loads of fun, but if you are coming to get into a club, don't bother. The street was packed with tons of people with costumes. We had a great time walking up and down the atreet looking at all the various costumes.

Two Canadians out for a walk in New Orleans and ended up on Frenchmen Street at night. Loved the live music at the Café Negril and the Spotted Cat.

If you are looking for a more laid back Bourbon Street then head to Frenchman Street! It is loaded with bars and restaurants and is much safer/quieter than Bourbon St.
