I went to a couple of places here. The music is amazing. The people are friendly. Beer seems to be about $4 a bottle (12 oz). The street is funky and not touristy. If you want to spend an evening chilling and listening to some great music, visit. If you want to party like a fool (and I mean that in the best possible way--I like to party like a fool sometimes), hit the Quarter.

A few Night Clubs. Different kinds of Music was being played. A few Restaurants. Buskers. They say, go where the Locals go, not all that many people were down there, I would say, they were in Bourbon Street.

Here is the place to hear good music not on Bourbon Street. We visited The Spotted Cat and heard some very good Blues.

There are great bars on this street where you can have a drink and listen to great music. There are no cover charge and so you can afford to go to numerous bars. It is also not wild and sleazy like Bourbon St. We went to the Spotted Cat and The Maison and the music was fantastic !
