“Wow -- Knock your socks off!”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

Really done well with shops, restaurants both high and low priced, speciality markets -- this is a fun place to be. Start at one end near your ship and be connected at the other end to the center of the rest of what's happening in New Orleans. Shields you from the cold weather when needed. Thankful for a long indoor place to be other than Bourbon Street.

“some neat finds”
Reviewed December 30, 2012

There was not much in this shopping market, seemed that a lot of stores were out of business or closing, I think to make space for the new Riverwalk Outlet Mall. There were some neat finds, souvenir tshirts, retro and comic store were fun to explore, mardi gras shop, new orleans food shops with taste testing, jewellery etc. The good thing about this mall is that there is a Cafe Du Monde that is not busy in comparison to the main one in F.Q. that was at least 50 people long when we walked past.

“Some Unique Shops”
Reviewed December 29, 2012

The Marketplace has a couple of unique stores that I would recommend visiting. The best part is that you can relax outside and watch the barges go down the river.

“mostly off brand shops - tourism/souveniers shops”
Reviewed December 28, 2012

Not a lot of options to eat at. Expensive for quality of food. Shops closed as soon as the cruise ships left around 6 pm.

“Tacky and tired”
Reviewed December 27, 2012

I'm sure that place has seen better days. It is tacky and tired. It even smelled like pee in some areas. Touristic gadgets shops for the most part. We had really good crab ettouffé and seafood chowder($6.50 each) in the food court and the view of the Mississippi from there is quite enjoyable. But I would not recommend for shopping.
