Old Historic Creole Inn

I planned my trip a year in advance, so was able to get my room really cheap. Realized after that I booked the same weekend as the French Quarter Festival, so even better! The inn keeper was really nice and stayed out of our way. The inn and the rooms are old and simple. If you're looking to stay in a really nice place, this isn't for you. But if you want a cheap place to stay so you can spend more money at other places, book the Historic Creole Inn. it's within walking distance to all the good places. The one negative I have is the shower (at least in the sweet dreams sweet) The hot water is not so bueno. :)

Myhusband and i stayed 2 nights here. It was within walking distanceof the French quarter. You need to be prepared to climb stairs as this 2 story house has lots of them. The room was very cozy and quaint and we had a private bathroom. The shower is not made for tall people. Ms. Kim was very kind and helpful. We would stay here again.

Kim and Charley, the INNkeepers, were helpful and friendly. Charming place, a little off the beaten path, but only a 5 minute walk from buses and 10 minute walk from French Quarter.
Great value for the price.

I stayed at the inn in march 2013 right after my cruise. I had picked the inn because of price and wanted to see new Orleans after our Holliday. Kim and Charlie made it feel like home. They made smores for the kids and even offered us dinner. Kim was very helpful on places we could eat as well thing we should see. The rooms were clean and beds very comfortable. Our van was towed after we had checked out and I called Kim in a panic. She went out of her to find out where my van was impounded and picked us up and drove us there. I cannot thank you enough Kim. I would stay at your inn anytime I was in neworleans. Matt still misses Charlie and his fires. Expect us back

We originally picked this place because it was such a great value. As it turns out, it was also a superb location, authentic feeling, and homey. If you are going to New Orleans and planning to stay out all day, we think this is the absolute best place you could stay. It is 4 blocks from Frenchmen Street and all the live music and easy walking distance to the quarter. We took our bikes and could get to almost any place we wanted in the city within 10 minutes. Kim and Charlie (the Innkeepers) were friendly, helpful and hospitable. It was almost like we were staying in someone's home as opposed to a cold hotel. We will definitely be back!

We stayed 6 nights in the Plantation room and one night in the sweet dreams room. The rooms are small, but adequate. Great location just a short mile walk to all the action in the french quarter. Also just a few blocks from Frenchman St. I had no major issues at all during our stay. The room was clean, and there were plenty of clean towels. Its like going to stay with a relative. You cannot find a better deal for the price. Just an FYI, if you are a bigger person do not get the plantation room, the shower is tiny, but i think that every other room has full size showers:-)

We stayed in the Memories room in early March and enjoyed our stay. It was a great value for the price. Kim was very welcoming and gave us great tips on places to eat and see. Our bed was very comfortable. The shower is small but was fine for average-sized people. Coffee and tea are provided at all hours. Our room was clean, not spotless around the edges -it's an old house- and comfortable, though small, and charmingly furnished. The walk to the French Quarter was quite easy and pleasant and seemed very safe. I recommend visiting Frenchman Street restaurants, where the food and music are good.
