Description: Please note that the courtyard is seated on a first come, first serve basis. A reservation does not guarantee seating in the courtyard but we will have a table available inside our beautiful, historic carriage house. We normally allow reservation space for only 50% of the dining room to accommodate walk-ins. Additionally, in order to accommodate all of our guests who are waiting to be seated, we are only able to seat your party once everyone has arrived. Nestled in the historic 150-year-old Princess of Monaco Courtyard and Carriage House on Royal Street in the French Quarter, Cafe Amelie is a rare combination of superb Louisiana fare served in a lush, enchanting New Orleans courtyard setting. Cafe Amelie has a full bar offering an array of signature cocktail creations. Cafe Amelie and the accompanying Princess of Monaco Courtyard are also available for private parties, weddings and receptions.

The rain stopped on Sunday afternoon and the patio was dry by the time we stopped in for dinner. I'm glad we did. The food and cocktails were great. Portion sizes were very generous for all size plates and we left more than satisfied. Our server was amazingly sweet and great with recommendations. It's the perfect place to go on a comfortable spring, or Mardi Gras, evening.

Never eaten here but the food always looks good. If you are wandering round the French Quarter and fancy a cocktail, this is the place to go! Nice bar or even better outside courtyard seating. Bar staff always friendly and know what they are doing.

Cafe Amelie delivers good food and service in a setting that really makes you understand that you are in New Orleans. It offers both courtyard and indoor dining, and the menu includes NO favorites and good, fresh food selections. The garden tables are magical after dark with lovely lighting.

On a cold day in NOLA we found this Cafe to be a busy and pleasant retreat. The Cafe is noted for its outdoor garden dining but the indoors was all that was inviting when we sought out our lunch. The menu is limited then but not in interest although we wanted something light. My wife ordered a tea and I had a beer. We opted for the BLT and a Muffaletta. These were served on fresh cibatta rolls. The seasonings were excellent - even on a BLT. Service was quick and cordial. We will try it again in the warm weather.

The restaurant is set back from the street so it's quite peaceful. It has a gorgeous courtyard which would have been lovely to sit in had the weather been in our favor.
We had cocktails at the bar while we waited for our table. I'm glad we booked in advance because the it was pretty full. The cocktails were great value for money. We were sat upstairs in a corner with a window so we could see out into the courtyard.
The wait staff were lovely and helpful with explaining the menu and prompt in delivering the food.
The food was excellent, we had the Poutine for start and the Shrimp Pasta to follow with the Doberge cake for desert. The portions were excellent.
I would go back and would encourage anyone to try it out.
