Description: Please note that the courtyard is seated on a first come, first serve basis. A reservation does not guarantee seating in the courtyard but we will have a table available inside our beautiful, historic carriage house. We normally allow reservation space for only 50% of the dining room to accommodate walk-ins. Additionally, in order to accommodate all of our guests who are waiting to be seated, we are only able to seat your party once everyone has arrived. Nestled in the historic 150-year-old Princess of Monaco Courtyard and Carriage House on Royal Street in the French Quarter, Cafe Amelie is a rare combination of superb Louisiana fare served in a lush, enchanting New Orleans courtyard setting. Cafe Amelie has a full bar offering an array of signature cocktail creations. Cafe Amelie and the accompanying Princess of Monaco Courtyard are also available for private parties, weddings and receptions.

as usual a lovely experience and wonderful creative cuisine. The problem is that everyone knows about this place now and the wait for a table is always interminable... but - worth it!

We went for Sunday brunch based on a recommendation from a local and were so glad we did. The courtyard is charming and the food was simple yet amazing. I had what was by far the best BLT sandwich! Friends I was with were equally impressed with their meals. Even though there are tons of restaurants in New Orleans, we all wanted to go back the next day and were so disappointed to find out they are closed on Mondays. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

We found Cafe Amelie while we were strolling the streets of the French Quarter and we are so glad we did. It was lunch times and this was best meal we had while we were in New Orleans. The shrimp and grits are divine. We will be back.

I really loved the ambiance of this tucked-away cafe. My Muffaletta was delicious as was my house special drink! The olives were delicious as well. If I lived in New Orleans, I would come here all the time.
