My wife and I had looked forward to visiting he wax museum but to our disappointment after walking to the museum we were told they were closed for a private event. No sign or anything We left disapointed and did not return.

This is a great place to visit and an especially good deal if you bring along the two for one coupon found on neworleansonline. The wax figures are arranged in elaborate historical settings and the scenes are organized in chronological fashion. The captions beneath are brief but very reader friendly. This would be a great place to bring kids. At the end there is a small "dungeon" and the sound effects and lighting are quite effective. We were the only people in the museum and it did seem somewhat spooky. Bring the coupon and enjoy yourself but this is worth the money even without it.

A lot of history. The website includes some documents that can be downloaded prior to the visit to assist in teaching as well. The wax figures were superbly done. I was very impressed with the museum.

Teriffic way to learn the history of New Orleans & Louisiana. The wax displays are not all that great but the dungeon is good scary fun (but nopt overly scary).

We went with a group of scouts, and I loved it. It was very interesting and made made you want to reach out and touch the exibits to see if they were real, but of course you could not.We were with a large group, so we had to stay together and move along. It would have been better if we could have taken our time to see everything at our own pace. Also we could not find a gift shop (surprisingly).Overall, a great place.
