Me and my wife booked this because we wanted to enjoy a 'jazz dinner cruise' on the mississippi, as advertised. We were assigned to the first seating, at 6 o'clock. We had until 7:15 to finish our meal. Food was average. The band was really good. The reason for the bad review is that the boat didnt depart until 7:15, thus we were in the harbor for the entie sitting - not really crusing in my opinion. We had nowhere to sit and listen to the band afterwards, and the mood in the upstairs and downstairs bars was kind of depressing. For 80 dollars a head the experience was overpriced. If you want to go anyway, do not get the dinner package, and go during a warm day.

Really nice boat and tour liked the history narration and jazz band. Killer Bloody Mary's! Great way to see the riverfront and learn about the Mississippi.

I went in November and I didnt pay for the dinner (it is really expensive). Only for the trip in the steamboat. On the boat you can buy drinks and some food, and the price is not really bad. But you can not see the the Jazz group playing... only if you pay for the complete dinner. And it was really cold and the places inside are really small (we were a lot of people), so I had to stay outside almost all the trip, and it was frezzing. And the views over the river and to the city are not really great. It is not worthy.

Although it was a rainy day this was a very relaxing cruise and we booked our ticket with the buffet lunch, which means we got to try some of the local cuisine! The fried fish was delicious! The boat is well maintained and comfortable inside with lovely decor. There was a fantastic live band which really gave it a positive and vibrant atmosphere! People even got up and danced! The staff were all very lovely and accommodating. We took a tour of the steam engine room too which was very educational! This is a great cruise to see some sights on the Mississippi around New Orleans! The only negative was the slow ticket process by Gray Line at their lighthouse booth. Even though we pre-purchased our tickets online, we still had to line up to get a paper ticket (which seems like double handling and a waste of time). It was cold, windy and pouring with rain and everyone was outside waiting for their tickets. This took about 45 minutes!!! Lucky we got there early or we would’ve missed the boat! Make sure you get there early to get in line and get your ticket printed.

This was such a fun way to take a tour of New Orleans. I loved the view from the water, the history was amazing and I enjoyed having drinks and listening to the live jazz. Definitely worth checking out if you're new to NOLA.

Expected a seedy tourist trap but this Boat was fun from start to finish! As we waited to board the riverboat the calliope started to play and it was wonderful! We embarked on time and were seated immediately. I was worried that the buffet line would be plugged up but people are escorted in timed intervals which creates zero lineups! The food was outstanding! The service is first rate! The music on board was very good. The view after dinner outside is worth the price. You cruise over 7 km's over the course of an hour and a half. My only complaint was that there wasn't enough seating to listed to the band after dinner because there was huge party that took all the seats.

I thought it was going to take me a long time to get on board but we didn't have to wait much. Make sure you bring a coat because it can get a little chilly. It was very peacefully, recommended activity for couples. They play live jazz music and food but you gotta pay for that before. IT was pretty entartaining and you dontg get sick or nauseous at all!!!!!

A little breezy sitting on deck watching stuff go by but so peaceful. Make sure you bring a coat just in case. Jazz music and buffet.

We did a lunch cruise with the early dining. Food was good, and there was plenty of it, buffet style. It was raining the day we went, so it kinda put a damper on our trip, but we kept dry and loved the commentary as we cruised down the Mississippi River. Seeing and actual restored steam ship, and the engine room was great. Loved it!!

the cruise and music was great, not so much for the food, it was a disappointment. not a lot of variety should not be classified as a buffet when the choices are so limited
