Just got back from 2 nights in NO before a cruise. Hotel is in a great location - basically hang a left out of the hotel front door and voila! maybe 5-8 minutes later you're in the French Quarter. Easy and safe walk to Riverwalk and Casino as well. Concierge desk and staff was terrific, had great recommendations and info on what events were going on each day. In our case, there was a really fun Christmas parade that coincided with our stay that we would have missed if the desk hadn't brought it to our attention as we were heading out that morning. Also worth noting, Mother's Restaurant is right around the corner and hands down is the best bang for the buck for authentic NO food. Very basic but fun place with awesome Po Boys, Red Beans and Rice and Jambalaya to name a few. Definitely recommend for lunch in particular, lines go very fast, seating opens up quickly too.

We stayed in this hotel for two nights prior to going on a cruise. Our room had two beds in it and was very clean. The room looked as it did on their website. The room we had did not have a good view out of the window, we were on the 5th floor and looked out into an alley of another buliding. They have a small bar off the lobby, which worked out fine for a drink on the way to the room. We really didn't take advantage of the free breakfast other than coffee, juice and a bagle. There was a great breakfast place just across the street called the Ruby Slipper, very busy, but worth it. This hotel is a little odd in how it was built, kind of like a maze getting to certain floors from the elevator. Everyone at the hotel was nice and helpful. We did experience a issue with getting a wheelchair for the other couple we went with, as the chair broke as our friend frist sat in it, the hotel later tried to fix it, but then after a while, brought up a perfectly good one for use. The hotel fixed this issue very quickly. I would stay here again if I was to go to NOLA again.

Just returned from a 3 day trip. This is an amazing hotel you just have to experience. First of all, the front desk staff is the best I've ever encountered anywhere!!! They even greet you every day by your name. Incredible, when you realize how expansive this hotel is...very historic, built from 7 buildings dating from the 1860's, with high ceilings and windows. And the location can't be beat, just a block and 1/2 from Canal on Magazine St. Get you a one day or 3 day Jazzy Pass and you have unlimited street car and bus fare anywhere in the city... I will definately stay here my next visit. I picked this hotel because of all the previous high ratings, and I can say, they were spot on.

Room Tip: Ask for a suite with a lot of windows. I did not try the free breakfasts, but the coffee selections...

We stayed at this hotel for three nights while we were in New Orleans and loved it! Very comfortable and clean hotel in a great location. The free breakfast was delicious and they had a nice variety. We had an executive king room with a sofa bed. The room had huge windows overlooking Magazine Street and we even got to watch a wedding take place in the courtyard across from the hotel. Valet service was great too, we called down 10 minutes before we planned to checkout and by the time we got downstairs our car was already pulled up front. I would definitely stay here again. Staff was very friendly too.

Room Tip: We got an executive king room and the additional cost was well worth it for the extra space!

We came to New Orleans to visit our son who lives in the French Quarter. Looking for a quieter place but close to everything. Couldn't have picked a better place ! Only 5 minute walk to French Quarter, River Walk, and great restaurants and felt safe to walk to area attractions. Awesome service from the staff. Did not get a room facing the street but our room was comfortable and clean. The free breakfast was better than most hotels offering this service. I could highly recommend this hotel to any type of traveler. We will be back !

Room Tip: Ask for room facing Magazine Street.

We're from Ontario and my husband had a conference in NOLA the first week of December so we brought our 2 1/2 year old and 2 month old baby to make a family vacation out of it. The hotel and staff were wonderful and very helpful. There is a delicious breakfast buffet, small heated outdoor pool (that we used twice/day in December!), a small lending library with kids books, and free cookies at the front desk. We had a King suite that was great for our family of four, it had a separate bedroom, fridge and microwave, very clean, in fact staff were always cleaning throughout the hotel (special thanks to Tashawna & Pam for their attentiveness).
Lots of kid-friendly things to do; the hotel is walking distance to the Audobon Aquarium, IMAX theater & Insectarium, the Children's Museum, and on the bus route to the Audobon Zoo. Another special thanks to Rockabye Baby Rentals for the stroller and infant swing.

We were there for a meeting in town and appreciate the staff and services, the location, the proximity of the French Quarter and the river. Our room was very nice, quiet and confortable with a view of the courtyard and pool. The free breakfast was very good. The free wifi was perfect and easy to access. We relaxe in the pool at night. A great stay!
