We stayed at this hotel for six days as part of a Navy veteran's ship reunion group. They treated us royally and helped us have a great reunion. We had an upgraded suite that was roomy, clean, well appointed and comfortable, The included breakifasts were great. The location is convenient to the French Quarter and Harrah's Casino.

We would definitely stay here if and when we return to New Orleans.

Room Tip: If you are a Carlton club member and book online, an if-available room upgrade to a suite was $12 pe...

I looked at reviews onTrip Advisor to find us a hotel in New Orleans that would be clean, reasonable and close to the French Quarter for our October trip. I had heard that New Orleans was particularly busy in October so I started my research early. It came down to a few choices and I finally decided on the Country Inn & Suites. It was our first time staying with this hotel brand.

Our stay at this hotel was just perfect! Starting with the staff who was great and helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant stay (which I admit was refreshing!) We dealt with 3 different concierges while we were there for 2 nights and 3 days and they were all very helpful.

Our room was quiet and had everything we needed. The hotel is really unique as they remodeled several old warehouses together to create a one of a kind hotel with a unique design. As many other mentioned we could walk easily to the French Quarter (few blocks away) but were away from all the traffic and noise.

Breakfast was fine and we had Wi-Fi and it worked great.

We were really happy with our stay there and we will return at this hotel next time we are in town. I already recommended it to a friend.

Clean and quiet. Two (safe) blocks walk from French Quarter (get your party on and then retire to a quiet room!) . Magazine Street bus stops right outside for trips down to the garden district boutiques or the cemeteries. Decent hot breakfast buffet every morning with coffee and tea available 24/7, as are the ever-present cookies at the front desk. This hotel is a renovated old building so you actually get some of that "courtyard charm" along with the modern rooms (flat screen LG tv, minifridge, microwave, coffee maker independent climate control). Great common area with plenty of seating, even a little bar area. Pool, modest workout room (no hot tub). Smiling faces behind the front desk and a concierge right there to help with anything you need. Only four out of five stars because people that equate 5 stars to a hotel like W will be disappointed. But for the value it is a 5 star hotel. I have nothing negative to say about this place; we'll be back.

Walking distance from almost everything we wanted to see. Staff was helpful and polite. The hotel was clean. Breakfast was great. Bartender was fun. Bar food was good on the night we were too tired to get back out. We enjoyed a quiet evening in the swimming pool area where there are tables. It was quiet, dark and romantic. We had a wonderful stay.

Room Tip: Some rooms must have steps up to reach them. Make sure you tell your booking agent if you can't...

Beginning with the valet the entire staff was perfect. Loved how this chain left the feel and love for the area in this hotel. Wonderful quiet suite overlooking Magazine St. Great walking distant to many restaurants, sights and of course the French Quarter is just across Canal St. Someone handed out beads each morning to get you in the spirit. We will certainly come back the next time we are in New Orleans.

Very unique historic feel, not like the suburban Country Inns that we usually stay at. Great ambiance with the exposed brick walls and beamed ceilings, etc. Staff was fantastic, our room overlooked Magazine St. and was quite large with a king bed. It was also very quiet in the room even though the street was right outside. The walk to the Quarter is only 2 blocks, just a few minutes, and Harrah's is also only a couple of blocks. Great location. Great breakfast too, everything great at this property. Highly recommend.

My 81 year old mother and her 86 year old sister were disappointed that we didn't book in the French Quarter. However, as soon as we we arrived, they were quite impressed with the appearance and uniqueness of the facility. When they arrived in their room they put the final stamp of approval on our choice. Only a few short blocks from Canal Street, and an easy walk (for us) to the French Quarter (mom and Aunt F. cabbed it), we had a fabulous time!
